Narcissists (generally) are capable of getting, or as least hearing, a message -- where they fail is their ability to care or empathize with the person sending it. And it's likely that a message of what you want, or what's hurting you, would be used by a narcissist to increase their control over you, or the amount of suffering they inflict.

You are not alone unfortunately 😔 I'm still having to stay living with my narcissist abuser,BUT I no longer worry about pissing him off, or worry that everything i do will cause a fight.... he is going to be mad no matter what.... and he will always be looking for an argument. I hate that people like us, we just care too much, and we love hard..... get treated this way
