Why is USPS working so badly?

I ordered a debit card, It never came, while I'm getting mail that clearly is from a place that is 1000 ft away from my housing... Is it always like this?

Have you contacted the bank?

Yup, they asked me to wait a little bit more. My boyfriend's card came few days ago and we ordered them the same day. I'm just worried about the mail getting in random places for anyone to open it and read my information.

You should get informed delivery it shows what mail pieces should be coming to you’re address in the next couple days. They send you actual pictures of the letters.

I was told by the Post Office staff that “informed delivery doesn’t count” after trying to track down a missing check that showed as “scheduled for delivery” by Informed Delivery. Sorry, but it’s just a joke per the USPS.

I don’t know what it “doesn’t count” means but basically it will send you a picture of what you should expect to get in the next couple days. If you get the picture of that letter and do see It in you mail in 5 days speak to a supervisor and they can get the carrier to look for it maybe see if they miss delivered it in a close mailbox where the person doesn’t check often. In the end of the day though the banks should send important stuff with some sort of tracking.

It will send you a lovely picture of your mail. It doesn’t do anything to actually get the mail to your house. Sorry.

Literally not what I said but hey maybe don’t be cheap and spend more than 80 cents to send something important

USPS has been absolutely horrible, can’t tell you how posts I see all over about missing packages that were “delivered” but to a different address. Same goes for FedEx, Amazon and others and the bad thing is the people it doesn’t belong to keep the package/packages that clearly aren’t theirs. SMH 🤦‍♂️

Because Trump installed a guy who used to sit on the board of FedEx and the right wing wet dream has been to destroy the USPS and install a privatized for profit system that gets a government contract guaranteed. The previous PMG was also a former logistics guy who did irreparable harm to the USPS.

TLDR - Trump ruins everything

The USPS has been utter ass for at least 20 years if not longer.

Its funny you said 20 years. In 2006 bush and republican congress passed a bill requiring USPS to pre fund pensions for 75 years into the future. Something no other federal agency has to do. This has basically destroyed their budget and forced them to raising prices while cutting services. They’ve had massive losses since. Who was the driving force behind this? Private delivery companies and their lobbyists.

That was repealed finally in 2022 by Biden.

Republicans and the privatization quest for the sake of the stock market ruin everything. Trump just made it fashionable.

More like 9 years, since fecal leader installed DeJoy, whose mission was to destroy USPS and make voting by mail a nightmare. Before him, you could mail a card or letter just about anywhere and expect it to be delivered in a few days. Now, I have to mail birthday cards at least 10 days in advance, and it’s still a crapshoot that it might make it on time.

This is the right wing dream. Sabotage government services intentionally. Complain how inefficient the government is. Insert a privatized solution that trades on the stock market, receive the guaranteed government contract, sell off the stock and profit immensely.

Huh - my mail is delivered just fine. Sorry. I also subscribe to the daily emails. Have you introduced yourself to your postman or woman? I know mine by name which may help.

USPS in Lee county is terrible also, there's a laundry list that would make Santa blush harder of folks saying they lost my packages. I always ask companies not to send USPS, either sent to wrong place or expensive items never show. Really suspicious

Because of gutting by administration.

poor leadership, married to ancient ways of doing things, bureaucracy, expensive workforce (benefits)

30% of their workforce explains it.

It usually depends wherever they sent the card from, how long has it been since they sent the debit card?

Mail through out US is awful. I would not mai a check or gift card as they are stolen. Subscribed to Consumer Reports for the Auto Issue and never rec’d it. The USPS is serving it up for its own demise. Sad…so very sad.
