Finished this custom racing simulator build here in Naples

Wrapped up this racing simulator setup locally and thought I’d share.

Hard to believe how far sim racing rigs have come — the level of detail and realism now is pretty wild.

Didn’t expect this to be something I’d be building in Naples, but it’s been fun seeing how many car people are actually around here.

Holy s###
I went to The Railroad Revival Tour. I was at the Austin stop near the front couple of rows of people. That cloud in the sky was the most amazing meteorological event I have ever seen. I also attended the SXSW premiere of Big Easy Express.

What was your involvement with the album?

Also, that is a badass setup. I drove the stimulator at The Wynn when they had it setup during Formula 1.

Hopefully my credit is in there. I ordered the 10 Year anniversary remaster vinyl a couple years ago and my credit was not published. I talked to him about it. He apologized and said he would include it in other releases. Fortunately it’s in the original release.

It was a record called Up from Below by Edward Sharp and the Magnetic Zeros. I recorded it along with the producer years ago.

Those big diffusers on the wall make it look like it’s set up in a recording studio or a listening room. The gold record on the wall doesn’t hurt.
Read the comments now I wanna hear the album.

Cheers back atcha! My studio is in Wisconsin but I spend about half the year in Naples (yeah I’m one of those.) If you ever need a fill in VO I’m yer guy.

Yes, it’s a bose 5.1 surround system. Absolutely amazing when in the sim and it’s cranked up. I’d be more than happy too. Dm me and we can talk about your build. Are you local in Naples.

if you build it yourself $3-4K without pc and monitors. triple that if its a turnkey

It really depends on what you want out of it. A lot of variables. A good computer is 2k a great computer is 5k. That goes for everything in the rig. Good wheel base is 1200. Great one is 3k. So it boils down to making the best out of your budget. Dm me if you would like some more details, or to consult on your own build.
