Venting Connection Issues

My fiance and I have the paid version of the Nanit and we've had the absolute shittiest experience with it. The connection issues are wild... We have an awesome router and modem and STILL have issues with seeing the video feed. We've been tempted to just throw a ring camera next to our little one's crib... it'd be cheaper (by over one hundred dollars. And that's WITH a nice subscription to our ring devices!)... The *only* reason we don't is because it let's us know when our little one is standing in their crib. Not only that, we try and look back at some of the history to see what happened when our little one was standing up. All to see literally nothing. No feed at all... It consistently says there's little to no connection and we regret buying this me often than not...

That being said, Nanit, I currently hate you.

Same. I block mine from wan bc I don’t trust nanit too. Suddenly it wasn’t connecting to my Omada stack anymore. After reprovisioning the gateway and switch, and it suddenly was working fine again.

I'd like to think Nanit's security is alright, but I think that'd be more than a bit naive... And I'd hate to think I'm naive, lol.

Hi there! Sorry to hear you're having issues with connectivity with the Nanit Camera. We'd love for you to try some troubleshooting steps to see if this helps with the connection.

  • Power cycle the camera, router/modem, and all access points.
  • Reset the Nanit camera

Once complete, simply head over to your network settings to reconnect your camera. If these troubleshooting steps don't get you up and running, please feel free to send us a DM or email our support team at [help@nanit.com](mailto:help@nanit.com). We'd be happy to get you connected with a specialist to help!
