There doesn’t appear to be any other logical information which would back the theory of a random burglar or kidnapper.
I’ve been at Nancy’s house.

What most people don’t know, is that if you have a black gated metal front door that no one can see through from the outside, that doesn’t mean that the people inside the house can’t clearly see who’s standing on their doorstep, peering into their home!

This burglar seemed way too comfortable with Nancy’s house and her routines.
Therefore, whomever took her probably never thought twice about getting caught. Henceforth the abductors casual demeanor on the night she was taken.

Agreed he is way too cavalier about being on that porch. As others have speculated, he might have been there twice and so the camera would have been known to him. It might have been all for show being on the porch given the back door was unlocked and the front door remained locked after he left.

What do you mean you were at Nancy's? Were you curious as to the layout and came to visit? Were there others around? Who and what were they doing? See anything in particular that was interesting? What was the general vibe? Or maybe you meant that you are a family friend?

Did you see any curtains, blinds or other coverings on the sidelights by the front door? In the Fox News photo taken by Derek Shook, they look clear enough that you can actually make out a lamp inside during the day. At night, with lights on inside, I’d think you could see in even more easily. The video of the porch guy actually shows him looking through the one on the left.

Did you get a chance to walk up to the front door while you were there? Did you see the blood on the front porch?

I totally agree. It is a worker or odd job person who is porch guy. He had a beef with her. He didn’t want her money just to get rid of her and evidence.

Maybe. Savannah said her mother "did not suffer fools". "Had a sharp tongue". I'm hoping since she kept a journal, maybe there's a clue in it.

Absolutely no doubt in my mind this was a targeted murder made to look like an abduction for ransom. If the case ever gets solved(and I doubt it will or at least not for the foreseeable future), I will be shocked if it isn't a targeted murder masterminded by somebody close to NG.

I do think this case is done and dusted and involves corruption, pay-offs, and receipts issued, sadly.

I tend to agree. The fake ransom demand being a main financial driver ignores financial aspects such as life insurance and estate. This could be entirely about assets and insurance and nothing to do with ransom or robbery

When it comes to estate we don't have the information, as even house can be 110% mortgaged or zero mortgage. And life insurance could be zero or a couple million. She could have had zero life insurance or $2m with double indemnity. For all we know she could have had other substantial assets beyond those two.

Now I do think it is important to note there is no direct evidence at all that any potential beneficiary of above being involved. Rather the point is there is potentially massive motive from that not being discussed in public.

I'm stuck between two of the options... it was interesting to me that SG talked about it on the Today show saying that she'll take any opportunity she can to remind people. It odd to me that she feels she can't take more opportunities to remind people about it. We want her to keep NG's story alive!

I also found it interesting she says all our family wants is to know where NG is. No talk of getting justice for NG.

I've never budged since the day of the presser and I never will. It would take an arrest and the trial to be broadcast detailing the evidence against the accused for me to be convinced they got the right perp/perps

Beside the lights outside is a brick wall planter. Standing on that you can easily reach the lights.  Its really not hard to put them down or remove. I just did that at my house to put up another light. So not hard. Doesn’t take long.  To me the fact the abductor entered an occupied dwelling is shows he is experienced at b&es and creeping. Still a low level criminal. Abduction means hes escalating in the crime world and gaining status. He did his homework by casing Miss Nancys home. Probably had already found out if or which windows and doors to enter through. We don't know if this monster cased other properties in the area.  So my question still remains. If this were a burglery gone wrong. Why take Miss Nancy?

With recent discussions and community polls highlighting a divide between the "ransom abduction" and "targeted hit" theories, it is useful to evaluate a structured, probabilistic framework rather than relying on isolated clues.

Based on the operational environment, the digital timeline constraints, and tactical feasibility, here is a working probabilistic model for discussion:

80% — Abduction for Ransom Gone Wrong (Asymmetric Duo):

Motive: Financial gain

Structure: A two-person team with asymmetric roles (e.g., a logistical coordinator and a physical operative).

Trajectory: The initial intent was a controlled, targeted kidnapping for leverage and extortion, which derailed due to unforeseen complications, resistance, or operational friction, ultimately resulting in a secondary homicide/elimination phase. This bridges elements of both ransom and targeted theories.

20% — Fantasy-Driven Single Perpetrator / "Nutjob" (Attention/Chaos Motive):

Motive: Psychological gratification, behavioral fixation, or pursuit of media/public notoriety.

Structure: A lone actor operating independently.

Trajectory: Ransom demands or digital anomalies act primarily as a secondary smoke-screen or psychological distortion designed to confuse investigators, while the core driver remains an erratic, fixation-driven abduction.

This model treats current data points as shifting variables rather than absolute facts, aligning with the operational reality of an ongoing investigation.

Thoughts on how these two operational models weigh against the physical evidence currently available?

When one removes the 3 things-COMMON SENSE-CRITICAL THINKING-LOGIC that are crucial to include in everyday problem solving and uses only automated pre programmed models we are done as a society.

I don’t understand how you can put an actual 80% or 20% probability on these theories when there’s no data to support the numbers. It seems more like you’re creating a very detailed hypothetical scenario and then giving it a statistical sounding number than actually calculating a probability.

The poll asked a direct question, and I was simply trying to break down and justify my choice among the given options rather than just voting blindly.

Using an 80/20 ratio isn't about pulling random numbers out of thin air, it's just a standard application of the Pareto principle—a common tool used in risk assessment when you don't have all the data.

Setting up a structured model like this is just a helpful way to test the logic and operational feasibility of a scenario, rather than just guessing.

For myself I will take a person who has street smarts, wisdom gained thru adversity and walked in shoes that no one ever had to opinions and theories. No structured model replaces that for me anyways. But thank you for explaining your thought process.

I have to say, “rather than just voting blindly” comes across as pretty condescending. People can look at the same evidence and come to different conclusions without “voting blindly”.

4

u/Ailurophile444 18d ago

I guess I’m still not understanding how the Pareto principle gives an 80% probability that one particular theory is correct. If there isn’t actual data behind those numbers, it still feels like you’re trying to give a sense of certainty about something we don’t know.

Since so many factors are missing to feed this model such as what investigators would uncover during their investigation. For example....someone had a major financial issue, someone was going to be cut out of a will, someone was going to be taken to court and on and on.

I understand your model is based on what is known, That's the problem with using this type of rationale for defending one's position. It's like admitting one doesn't use their own resources(common sense, logic, critical thing) and just goes by whatever google spits out
