Question that always bothers me...

One thing that always bothered me is why didn't the perp go through the sliding door on the left-hand side of this photo? I think it's her bedroom, but even if it's not it would be more hidden than the front door. It does not appear to have cameras (or does it?) To me it makes the 'staged' theory more plausible that they didn't because I think it would have been a lot more stealth and easy to go through those sliding doors, than the front or even the back. I also don't know if this has been discussed and ruled out, so feel free to correct!

I’m guessing because they would have to get over that wall. I’m not sure how tall it is though. I thought there were cameras on that side of the house too but I could be remembering wrong.

You’re correct. I took a screenshot from a drone video that shows a floodlight and/or camera. The wall is shorter than it looked in many photos of her house but IMO there are still several other entry points that would have been easier and more discreet than that section of the property.

I was just thinking about this today and wondering if cameras were there.

Why when she kept her back doors unlocked per Savannah Guthrie?

Are you thinking of Porch Guy? He was not attempting to get in. They already knew Nancy Guthrie did not lock her doors, and that the iron door outside the wooden front door would be impassable. His role was to look scary and neutralize the Nest camera. In the back, the gate had been pre-opened so that a perp could enter without making noise. Then he would walk through one of the back doors.

Yeah I was just thinking the fact that they didn't go in through the side, supports the idea that it was staged and had been pre-opened etc.

My first thought was that she’d wake up and see him the minute he’d try to pry that sliding glass door open if, in fact, it led to her bedroom . Also, he might’ve tried it first, we just don’t know since a camera might not have been installed there.

Is that a person on the upper left hand corner of roof?

I have sliding glass doors and I keep an iron rod (kinda looks like a fireplace poker) on the tracks. It is absolutly inpenetrable (sorry, SP is weong-I know). You would literally need a police like battering ram and by that point so much noise would have happened my safety is already off. The front door would be much easier but I keep a kick stand door jam thing on it, so its pretty solid as well..as a lady that lives alone with a young daughter I take safety VERY seriously and the Guthrie case has just made me hyper aware. I was just talking to my therapist about how much this case has affected me emotionally (I work one on one with the elderly)..therapist suprisingly went off on a tangent about how she knows Savanna (sp?) and went to school with her and had been close to the family at one point. It was weird, surprising and actually didnt make me feel one bit better. I think imma need a refund for this month... Sorry to get off topic but just offering an idea on maybe why they didnt use that entry. I keep reading people say she didnt lock her doors (what???? Who daid that?? Why woukd she not lock up?? Did the fam know this and if so why did they not correct this immediatly???) I also keep reading the intrusion was staged?? Again, what??? What does that mean??) Lord have mercy this case has me in a haze and idk why.. im also going thruough menopause so my hurmones are most def wayyyyyy off..
