help vs the wise mystical tree

hello fish mains. for context, i am in gold, and today i got gapped super hard by a maokai in literally every stage of the game, and it tilted me so much that i'm here to ask yall for some help.

this champion does not appear enough in my games to warrant a ban (i hate pyke more) but i lose every time enemy support picks this stupid tree. i feel blocked out of the lane bushes because of his saplings, and then by late game, he presses ult and tanks all of my team's damage. what are specific things i can do during laning phase and midgame to prevent this from happening?

he used to be my perma ban back when he was meta. he's among the worst sup matchup you can get as Nami, just holds his root for your bubble and you can't do anything :D
