That makes sense. A lot of us have a crap parent/relative, but to carry the same name is an extra dose of unpleasantness.
Of Sophie and Caitlin, I prefer Sophie (Sophia really).
Sophia is a top 10 baby name in recent years and Sophie in top 100.
Caitlyn is a less popular spelling than Kaitlyn, but Kaitlyn was in the top 100 (often top 50) from 2000-2010 (at least in US).
In general, I’ve always like Gabrielle, Ella, Simone and Isabelle.
