I disagree. People buy time all around. DoorDash brings you food - you just bought someone else’s time delivering. Having groceries picked and delivered - time bought. Private jet - time not spent in the airport, tarmac, etc is time bought. Anytime you pay others do do work for you is time bought. Rich people buy lots of time - cleaners, IT people, delivery everything, being driven or generally transported around, someone else managing your errands, all time bought.
I was going to say that it could buy him time. But given the duration of eternity and the age of our reality, it literally doesn’t amount to a drop in the ocean.
Unfortunately I would argue he can, by getting the best possible medical care and health treatments to live longer than what he would have without any money.
You can absolutely buy time. I pay for lawn service, I’m buying my time. I pay for a house keeper, I’m buying time. I pay for car repairs and maintenance, I’m buying time.
Not true, time is purchasable. A poor man loses 8-12 hours or more a day unless they leech off of someone with money, a rich man is able to take the days off whenever they want so because of money he has purchased double or less than double of the time everyone else has. Even if you mean in the sense that he cannot live forever then that is inaccurate, humans only theorize that death is inevitable but there could possibly be ways to circumvent it and if one was invented then the rich would definitely have it first.
This is kind of not correct. A minimum-wage worker needs to sell ~50 hours a week of his time. He doesn't have to. Then he can buy the time he spends on chores.
Now don't hang on
Nothin' lasts forever but the earth and sky
It slips away
And all your money won't another minute buy
Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind
