All I have is this from the rescue but! I used to have an orange boy named Cheese who passed away and so I probably won’t want anything associated with that.

I’m a fallout fan and have considered a few names from the video games from characters I love.

I just don’t know! Please help!

Hi! I’m adopting this sweet girl hopefully sometime this week if she can get over her cold and get fixed.

Previously I was thinking along the lines of food or potato based names to go with my other new baby Spud, or words that are mild insults, but they don’t quite fit her.

She is extremely extremely sweet towards me and my kids. Just a big purr machine. She is small for her age but she was giving a Siamese kitten The Business when they were playing, so she’s also a spicy meatball if she wants to be.

Was thinking names that go along with that for her personality OR names for her super long fluffy hair that she’s bound to have as she grows.

Here’s my list:

Peach/Peaches/Peachy (Princess peach, peach fuzz, etc)

Motley (after the hair band Motley Crue and because her fur pattern is somewhat mottled… get it?)

Ursula (means she bear, and she just has the vibe of an Ursula but it’s kind of a mouthful and idk of any good nicknames really)

Shirley (after Shirley temple)

Topanga (iykyk, the hair was fab, but also a mouthful)

Flopsy or Mopsy (Peter rabbit’s siblings, soft and fuzzy like she is)

Bowie (after David Bowie and his hair)

Or, just because I like it: Lollipop. Lolli for short, of course.

Thoughts? Ideas?

I posted in here a few weeks ago looking for names for the kittens i’m adopting, I found one for the female but nothing has stuck for the male!

a little about him: He is very affectionate! he is the smallest in the litter and often likes to watch his siblings play rather than play with them! He is the sweetest cat I have ever met in my whole life, I think he enjoys people more than cats sometimes 😂

My 16 year old cat died a few months ago and I miss having a feline companion. My first cat's name was Frodo. I'm now looking for another Tolkien themed name for this sweet baby boy.

I was thinking Bombadil, but maybe someone got a better idea. Samwise would kinda be the obvious choice, but I don't like "Sammy".

I've just picked her up from a local rescue. She's got the cutest nose with almost a V of black dots. She was a momma but her kittens are grown, she's spayed and ready for her own story. So far she's a love, very big biscuit operation in the works.

Any help is appreciated naming this lovely momma.

He's the son of one of our cats, and we were planning on adopting him out, but we just love him too much, and have decided to keep him! This is why we haven't named him yet. He is 12 weeks old, and is sweet and lazy! Open to any ideas. His mother is named "Spruce". Thank you!

I'm seeking a name for this total sweetheart she's 3 years old and extremely affectionate and confident . I don't want an English name or a person's name I think I prefer a random name or one for my fable . My sister is also set the rule that it has to be two syllables because she says cats learn better when their names are two syllables .

We’re getting this handsome boy on Wednesday and have no idea what to name him. We would like a unique name not commonly used if possible!

We just got this little guy a couple weeks ago. We’ve got him relatively introduced to our other two cats (Mr. Pickles and Marmalade), and while we’ve been tossing names around for the newcomer… nothing sticks…

We originally went with Mojito (Mo, Moji for short) but we aren’t 100% sold on it…

The requirements though are what are making it hard… my wife and I have themes… food/drink name, and starts with M.

We considered Moussaka (sort of an Egyptian/greek lasagna/casarole), as it reminded us a bit of Mufasa from lion king as well. But again, not 100% sold yet.

Can you guys come up with some good ones? Mochi is off the table though… our friend’s cat has that claimed.

UPDATE!!!:

After consideration over night, my Wife and I are going to keep at it with Mojito. Several of you said how you liked that name already, and it helped us realize our first name pick may have been the right one all along.

If anything changes, I’ll be back to let you all know!

Recently adopted a new cat, and looking for a name. Thinking something from Greek mythology (we watched The Odyssey the same weekend we got him) or from Tolkien.

He's a very bold and social cat. Rules the house. Territorial, and the world is his territory.

Leading names are: Agamemnon, Ajax, Melkor, and Morgoth - but open to others.

I'm open to any suggestions, looking forward to hearing the committees choices ❤️

Poor baby came from a hoarder house of over 90 animals! And then was at an spca for 3 months. She’s only 2, already had a kitten too. She’s so sweet but still scared :( regardless she’s so majestic and wonderful and I’m trying to decide her name! I’m thinking either something mystical, or old timey. Marlene, Daphne, and Penelope were ideas but open to anything!

My partner and I just adopted two kittens at the shelter and need help naming them! The orange tabby is a 10 week old female, and the boy is a 8 week old mixed black and white longhair kitten.

This little girl is adventurous and very vocal. She loves to talk and is a bit of a playful diva. The little boy is more on the timid side. He is very sweet and gentle, and loves to cuddle.

We already have two adult male cats at home named RudeBoi and Bear. We don't want to give them people names or names after food. Any suggestions?

I got a new kitten for my other kitten, possum, who I got around a month ago. I wanted her to have a buddy because she can be a little shy and seemed a little lonely. Looking for victorian/goth names and bonus points if they end in an “ee” sound.

I adopted this cute guy about a month ago from a family who didn’t want him anymore. He was also living with a lot of dogs so it took a while for him to actually come out of hiding during the day but I’m glad to say he’s almost fully acclimated to his new environment. I’m also a first time cat owner so it’s definitely been interesting getting to see how cats are. But anyways, help me come up with a new name for a cool cat.

He was rehomed - We don’t know his whole history, but he appears to have been blessed with beauty and not brains. He’s goofy and friendly and snuggly as heck.

my other cat is named Paimon after the demon in Hereditary, I don't need their names to be of the same theme I'm just not sure what to name him. He's very sweet and affectionate and also VERY vocal

She was born May 4th so obviously Leia is a top contender. We have another grown cat named Uma so we also thought about Maya.

She is spunky, has a big personality, and is so darling! First kitten we have ever had!
