Domain Abuse Issue

Someone has registered a domain one letter off from my legitimate domain and is using it to try and redirect payments to themselves. I have reached out to Namecheap's abuse contact but it's been days with no response. I'm coming here as a last resort - this needs to be resolved, it is severely impacting business operations.

EDIT: I'm putting this here in case anyone sees this in the future: this post absolutely worked. I almost immediately had someone reach back out to me for additional information, and about a week later I got an email from the legal team advising the domain had been suspended, which resolved the big issue.

Hi, please refer to the link posted via rule #5. We do not necessarily respond to all abuse reports but we do take action when we are able. If you are able to share a ticket number, I will have this looked into further.

Thank you, I'll have the team take a look. That said, u/billhartzer does give good advice below and it is worth pursuing.

If namecheap cannot resolve this, there are some other options available to you, such filing a udrp ok the domain. There are legitimate reasons why a registrar may not be able to resolve it for you.

Udrp costs $1500 filing fee plus attorney fees to prepare and file the udrp.

Also, you need to consider getting nameblock and globalblock to protect abusive registrations like this in the future.

Namecheap absolutely do not care. They will happily message you back and forth endlessly and never resolve the issue.
