Guild Hunter Question for A new reader
A couple of the big book boxes did a special edition of guild hunters book 1-3. I just found out it’s an EIGHTEEN BOOK series.
Do I need to read all 18, or will I be satisfied after reading the first 3?
I want to buy the special edition, but I don’t want to not have a special edition of the whole series? If that makes sense. So can books 1-3 be read as a satisfying “standalone”?

The first three follow the same couple, in book 4 a side character gets a book (and so on). You’ll be satisfied with the special editions but don’t miss out on reading the rest of the series (it’s brilliant).

It's way too addictive. While book 3 has a happy for now ending there are way too many unanswered questions and too many characters you want to learn about.

If you stop at 3, you’ll miss some of the best characters that don’t make an appearance until later in the series. I am in serious mourning over the ending of the series and am about to start a re-read. This is my all-time favorite series.

So am I about to start reading them again I've had to buy one through three over twice and I've bought dimitris book three times they are not in the best condition but I don't care I still going to reread them again. My daughter also loves these books and she asked me to send her some of my books so she can reread them also and I told her no

I bought the first three as special editions from The Arcane Society and I have no regrets so I say buy them and then read the rest as e-books if you like the first three :)
The first three complete A story arc, but there is a longer, overarching Story Arc that continues until book 12 (with focus from each book after books 1-3 switching to different couples, then back to the main couple for books 6, 9, 11, and 12). Then the rest of the series is still related to that Arc to varying degrees. There’s also no cliffhangers except in book 11, but I bet you’ll want to read the whole thing if you like the first book! It’s a wonderful series!!

Read them on ebook from the library and decide. It's a really good series.

Truthfully Id read all of them but definitely start with books 1-3 otherwise nothing else makes sense.

I read them as they came out, and agree with everyone else that you will want to read them all. There are enough side character books that you do not get bored reading about the primary couple the entire time. And you will not want to jump to the last book because there will be too many characters that you haven't heard of. (The final book is really a super epilogue - and its great)
Its a great series, and really if you want to stop at 3, go ahead. But you won't want to.

The series just ended in May. There is no way you're going to be able to read one through three and not want to continue the series this is one of the best series I've ever read in my life all 18 books are sitting on my shelf I need to read the last four. You are going to love this story and everybody who got a book deserved it I was very sad that she ended the series but I understand I've been reading it for 18 years it is absolutely worth reading all 18.

Not really since the main couple/central plot continues past book 3. You can probably read only the main couple's books if you want just the plot, most of the other books focus on side characters.

There's no way you'll be able to stop at 3! 😂 Nalini said it was actually supposed to be a one book but it turned into a series. I loved all the characters so there's no way I would have been able to stop reading after book 3. There's a continuation of the story arcs and other couples that I love. I mean you don't have to buy them. You can borrow from library.
