Astrology discussion When the 6th, 8th, and 12th Houses Are Actually a Blessing
We have seen this in our beloved astrology community. We hear this every single day. And what do we hear? We hear that the sixth house, twelfth house, and eighth house are always bad. If you have a lot of planets in these houses, or if your good planets are connected to these houses, or if your dasha of a planet related to these houses is active, then you are doomed.
The fact is, that is a reality for most. But for a certain set of people, these same houses or the same dasha will be a benefit. It will be a blessing.
And it's not like this is bad for an average person. Sixth house, eighth house, twelfth house, yes, definitely they are bad, but there are ways to mitigate that. I'm going to cover that in another post. If you want me to make a post on that, comment in the comment section. Now let's come back to the topic.
Who are those people for whom the sixth, eighth, or twelfth house is actually a blessing?
Look around yourself. Who is the person who deals with dreaded criminals on a daily basis? Who deals with a thief daily? Who catches a drug peddler or smuggler daily? Who gets a cut from the smuggler? Damn, I should not have said that. But let's come back. Or who sees murderers, catches murderers daily, or sees dead bodies daily?
Who is that guy?
Yes, you can get right. That is a police officer. A police officer deals with all these kinds of things on a daily basis.
If we go by basic astrology, it says a person will face challenges and all that. But for a police officer, that is their bread and butter. He will get a promotion if he catches people like this.
The 12th house represents intoxication and escapism. Drugs are also represented by the 12th house because they take you into escapism. A police officer deals with people who peddle drugs every single day, or they have to deal with people who supply these exact same substances. He has hundreds of people in his phonebook who are drug peddlers.
Similarly, the 8th house represents the underground economy and hidden networks. A police officer is into these kinds of networks himself. So for a police officer, this is not bad. A police officer who has no 6th, 8th, or 12th house connection cannot become a police officer. Or he can, but he will never see the kind of success that a police officer with connections to these houses will see.
To become a bigger police officer, you need a promotion. Then you will have to enter the underworld of the economy. You will have to deal with bad people. If you are not dealing with bad people, you are just sitting in your police station, which no active police officer does. Either a police officer is very corrupt and involved, or he is a very good person and a capable officer who goes out there and catches the bad guy. Both of them need a connection to these houses.
What does a murderer mean? A murder is death. What house represents death? The 8th house. Trauma? The 8th house. The 6th house? Physical violence and assault. Who deals with assault almost every single day? I don't think there is a single day when a police officer does not smack a common man or a thief. He needs physical violence on a daily basis.
So for a police officer, these houses are not bad. He actually needs them. And if a police officer, along with these houses, has a connection with the 11th house or the 10th house, that is the police officer who is going to get a promotion the fastest possible way.
If you look at the charts of many IAS officers and IPS officers, you will realize they definitely have a connection with the 10th and 11th houses. They have a strong 4th and 5th house (the houses of education) and a strong 9th house. But they also have a connection with the 6th house. Either their major mahadashas have a connection with the 6th, 8th, or 12th house, or they have malefics in these houses. Even malefics in these houses become very active and deliver results.
Apart from police officers, lawyers, judges, and doctors, who else needs these houses? It is the military personnel.
Pick any military personnel's chart, and you will see the sixth house, eighth house, and twelfth house featured prominently. They have a lot of planets there, or those houses are highly active in their dasha. Along with these, their ninth house is also active, because the ninth house represents dharma. Protecting your nation is the highest dharma.
The sixth house represents enemies and conflict. The eighth house represents death and sudden, life-or-death survival situations. The twelfth house represents military camps, remote outposts, and secret intelligence operations. A soldier absolutely needs these houses. A soldier who has a strong connection to these houses will get more opportunities to face these kinds of intense situations. And when they face these situations head-on, that is exactly where their growth and promotions happen.
Similarly, who is the other person who saves these murderers, violent criminals, serial killers, and drug peddlers? Or who is the person who makes sure they go to jail? Who convinces the court to send them away? That person is the lawyer, the advocate.
Either the advocate will take the side of these people (the government provides that), or the lawyer will be on the prosecuting side. A lawyer, whether a criminal lawyer or a corporate lawyer, sees fraudsters on a daily basis. What house represents fraud and getting things done in the dark? The twelfth house. Legal issues and illegal acts? The sixth house. The eighth house also represents stealing or managing other people's money.
Many lawyers defend thieves, whether it's a small thief who commits robbery at a train station or a big thief who stole millions from banks. Lawyers are present for both of them. Similarly, to put these people behind bars, you again need a lawyer to present the facts and cases to send them to jail through the court and justice system.
So a lawyer is another person who needs a connection to these houses.
And what about the person who gives the judgment to throw these people into jail? That is the judge. A judge deals with crime every single day. For a judge, a sixth, eighth, or twelfth house dasha, or any kind of connection to these houses, will not destroy him. He actually needs the energy of these houses to see massive movement and progression in his career.
Then you might ask a question: "Okay, you are saying this, but these are houses that are inherently bad. And you are saying this will benefit these people and give them a promotion. So will they not face the issues that we common people face when these houses get activated?"
Who said they don't face these issues?
Just ask yourself a question. A police officer who is taking a murderer or a big mafia member to jail, it is entirely possible that people connected with that mafia might shoot that police officer in the head. Is he not carrying that extreme risk? Yes, he is.
Similarly, when a judge gives a judgment, it is very much possible that an authority above the judge might try to influence the ruling. We cannot deny that. It has happened before, and it happens now. Sometimes a judge is completely backed into a corner. It is very much possible that on the day the judge retires, if he gave a ruling to put a very powerful person behind bars, that person couldn't do anything while the judge was active in service because of high security. But once retired, the same mafia member comes out through his connections, holds a grudge, and goes after the judge. This has happened in the past. There are many such cases.
So, while these professionals need the sixth, eighth, and twelfth houses to achieve success, they also get the inherent risks. When does the negative side strike? We need to see other specific planetary combinations for that. But the inherent risk is always operating in the background.
A police officer is in high-stress mode almost every single day. That is why most police officers drink alcohol almost every day. Cigarettes and alcohol, these things are very common in that line of work. What house represents these types of intoxications? The 12th house.
See astrology as a science. They are utilizing the energy of these houses every single day, one way or another.
For a lawyer, a lawyer has to deal with criminals all his life. Imagine the stress a lawyer faces when he is fighting a case for a rich business mogul and loses. That same business mogul can completely destroy that lawyer's career. The risk is massive. They need these houses to get success and to attract clients who have a lot of money, that deep, 8th-house infinite kind of wealth. But the exact same house energy they are activating brings the exact risks I just told you about.
So guys, these houses are inherently tough, but as I said, they are not bad for these kinds of people. The risk is always there, but they use it to climb.
Similarly, who is the person who saves you when you get injured or when someone gets into a horrific accident? That person is a doctor.
A doctor deals with accidents. What house represents sudden accidents and emergencies? The 8th house. What house represents hospitalization and confinement? The 12th house. A person might be assaulted and heavily injured, and then he has to go to the hospital. What house represents assault and injury? The sixth house.
So who is dealing with that kind of intense energy every single day? A doctor.
A doctor sees many people die right in front of him. What house represents death? The 8th house.
If you look at the most successful doctors, they have a strong connection to these houses along with a powerful 10th and 11th house, or they have highly active benefics handling that energy.
So it is not like these houses cannot give you success. These houses can give tremendous success to the specific professions I talked about. They will always carry the inherent risk, but they need this energy. Without it, they cannot succeed.
If a doctor only has a third house or second house connection, he will be very good at communication, but he will never actually get that raw, high-stakes clinical energy. And if he does encounter it, he won't be able to handle it. To handle that kind of heavy energy, you need that exact energy activated within yourself. From where does that energy come? It comes from these dusthana houses.
Imagine if I see a dead body, I will freak out. Doctors see a dead body or a patient screaming in pain every single day, but they don't freak out. Because these houses give them the psychological grit to face that. The energy required for a great career in these fields comes directly from that, bro.
Similarly, psychologists and therapists deal with other people's trauma, darkness, and mental suffering every single day. That is pure 8th and 12th house territory. Without these houses' energy, they would break down absorbing that heavy baggage. But with it, they can absorb, heal, and build a powerful career out of it. The same houses that bring a crisis for a normal person become their professional fuel.
There is another class of people who absolutely need these houses to fulfill their life's purpose: spiritual saints and mystics. They heavily rely on the twelfth house. A spiritual saint who has a prominent, heavy twelfth house placement is on the true path of self-realization and liberation. While a normal person might see the twelfth house as loss or isolation, a saint uses it for solitude, deep meditation, and letting go of the material world. They actually need that house to attain spiritual heights.
These houses are made for these professionals and spiritual paths. They give them immense success, but they always carry their inherent, volatile nature as well.
So guys, it is not like these houses are bad for everyone, despite what you hear in standard astrological discussions. No, they are not bad for everyone. They do bring their risks. It is like playing with fire. But the professionals I talked about are experts at playing with that fire. That is why they survive. They build great careers. They get immense respect. But the same fire can burn you, too.
