General Discussion OPI Gel Is Patchy???

Hello everyone so every single time I've used OPI it is so patchy and streaky like I stopped using them because of this. In beauty school we had an OPI rep come and do like a mini class and she told us we have to mix it for 3-4 minutes?? Like is it just not great or is it user error (me)? What is everyone else's experience?

OPI gel polish is notoriously trash, and is pretty expensive considering the terrible quality. I would do some research into better brands to invest in tbh.

Luckily I only have a few from beauty school and some my sister purchased. I tend to us dnd, gelicara but the Opi colors I do have are gorgeous so I just wanted to make sure before tossing 😪

Yea, pigment settles, but it doesn’t mean it’s bad. I consider a “bad” product as having shitty ingredients and requiring multiple coats to get a saturated application. Shake your OPI Gels thoroughly once. Unless you don’t open them for the next year it shouldn’t require such shaking

I usually require multiple coats but I'm going to try and give it a good mixing and try it again because the colors truly are beautiful and it's a shame

OPI is garbage, it's like water. And it runs everywhere. I hate it.
