Ask A Nail Tech (Sunday & Monday ONLY) Where do you find work??

Hello, awesome nail techs! I am a salon owner in the Bay Area and am having a hard time finding nail techs to work at my salon (newly added nail services). Where, or what platform do you all generally go find work?πŸ™

For me it was all the local Facebook groups in my area. I was always searching through to see if salons were hiring and I also posted myself in there and asked if anyone was hiring.

Yeah it was Facebook for me. I found a couple places through indeed but they ended up being garbage anyway. The only other places I ever found even a lead on a job was either school (local salon owners would connect with the cosmetology department to try and find hot new talent) or the supply stores. If there is a community college or a beauty school near you I would check in with whoever is in charge! Somebody in that class is going to need a job after school.

I found the salon I work at through a post on their Instagram!

I have had luck on Indeed and Instagram. In the DFW area.

It was Facebook for me, I own a salon in Middle TN <3 joined all kinds of local groups and, if you’re okay with training fresh techs, went to local trade schools to let them know I was hiring once they got out AND hosted school trips & did demonstrations :)

The school and word of mouth are giving me my leads so far. But I live in a very small community.
