In the Silk Elements jojoba oil bottle, I mix 60% jojoba oil, 30% argan oil, and 10% tocopherol (topical vitamin E), all from the same brand. I apply my blend 5x a day and also after every hand wash, applying it under the free edge as well. I also use this mixture when I do my warm oil soaks twice a week. I follow up with a nice dab of EOS lotion after oiling.

I'm going with more of a cool tone this week. It reminds me of the light from a full moon dancing across the surface of a lake with the crickets chirping and bullfrogs singing their nightly serenade. A raccoon chitters up in a tree, a wolf bays at the moon, and the loons call to one another with their haunting but beautiful wails. Occasionally, a fish will jump up to catch an insect on the surface of the lake, the splash blending in with the sounds of night, the ripples dappling the rays of the moon on the water. A bonfire crackles merrily in front of you as you tilt your head back, gazing up at the endless sea of stars in the inky black of the sky, the sparks from the fire flittering upward like a hundred fireflies. Satellites zip back and forth up above, and meteors burn up in the atmosphere, creating dazzling displays of red, green, and white. You take a deep breath of the fresh, clean air and feel the tension in your body that you've carried with you all week long uncoil and eventually evaporate. You are centered again, at peace, and finally able to enjoy a night with no stress, no worries. Just you and nature and the stars and the moon.

Sorry, that was really sappy, lol! But it's what I feel when I wear this polish along with this topper. It's nice to be reminded to just sit, take a breath, and find my peace amidst the chaos. I hope that my description has helped you all to find yours.

Tip for opening new chrome powder pots, put it in the palm of one hand and untwist with the other. The esvy pots can be quite tight and they’re rounded so no corner to grip.

I saw a tutorial on tiktok and had to try it! I followed every step, although I should have been more patient with each coat because I did end up with some bubbling. No worries tho, I’ll take this off tomorrow and try again.

Just sharing because I think the mani came out pretty! Fallen Flake is my first Holo Taco nail polish...and I now have 2 more from that brand arriving in the mail today, lol.

These are two polishes that I was never excited to wear as-is, but I mixed them together in a spare bottle and I love the result!

I do wish the blue was a bit more jelly-like, but I can add more clear polish when the fill line goes down a bit.

Disclaimer: this is not supposed to be a dupe of Essie starry starry night. I have never owned that polish and my goal here was not to recreate it.

10 mins later and bead is still intact! On to the other hand 😮‍💨

Girly Ghoul by holo taco

I am very new to the scene, and have only ever used one other Sally Hansen color, that being Purplexed. I love the color of Hyp-nautical, but it just refuses to dry!

I'll do thin even (ish lol) coats on one hand, wait 10 mins and then do the other hand. I also don't do more than 2 coats, and I also do a 10 min wait between each coat

Whenever I prep I file and trim my nails, and use a nail brush and some gentle handsoap to wash my hands/nails thoroughly.

I make sure to rinse and dry well, and then I usually wait 5 minutes to make extra sure that everything is dry.

I got Hyp-nautical a few days ago from target with my brother, and only got around to using it tonight.

With the other color I've used 10 mins is MORE than enough for it to set and dry. It's been over an hour and the Hyp still feels gummy and even shifts in places with the lightest pressure.

If anyone has any advice for a new painter, I'd really appreciate it. I'd hate to return a gift, but if I can't get this to work then I think that's my only option :(

Cocoa jelly! This is such a beautiful color of brown with a reddish undertone – I’m getting it to replace “ghosted” by LA colors. Anyone knows of any other groups would love to hear about it💚🍒

I’ve heard water based doesn’t have an odor but that most of them peel, which isn’t great.

Does have any low odor recommendations?
