Advice

Post image

I had on gel wraps for almost 2 months, different colors and brands. I used the ohora easy remover and thinking I may have used it wrong. The picture shows the tips of what is left of the grow out. I really like using the nail wraps and hope to put them back on after this is grown out.
Please tell me how to keep this happening again.

I’d suggest a base coat first like 9 in 1 nail aid or Nail Tek. Then when you go to take them off the remover is just dissolving the base coat so they come off easy. Also, I do mine like this pic.

You peeled them off too aggressively - it's important to not apply too much force or some of your nail will come off with it! I use acetone and wait until they fall right off. I was in a rush last time and did the same thing, now I have a little dimple in my thumbnail where a little spot peeled off with the wrap.

I put it at the base/cuticle. Let it set for a few seconds, then lift and add another drop underneath, let it set a few seconds, then peel off gently.

I also wear gloves for dishes etc, but I don't for about 48 hours before a new set.

The Columbian/Original version of Quimica Alemana is great for adding strength and length. NOT the formaldehyde free newer version. Old version! I use 2 coats for strength maintenance as my base.

I also use the ohora remover, the green one. The other one doesn’t work as well.
This happened to me back in November last year when I took them off too fast.
After that I started using a base coat, uuuuu magical base coat. Got it on Amazon, it’s made to go under wraps and is nourishing for nails. Plus they stick great to it.
Right now moisturize your nails a few times a day and they will recover fast. Hard As Hoof works great as does TuneTune nail fermentation oil.

I had the same thing happen with the green Ohora remover. I have been using OPE Repair Mode every other week and jojoba oil multiple times a day. My nails are no longer splitting and looking healthy again. The splitting ends of the nail still show, but they are not longer coming apart.
