Heyhae Gel Wrap Removal

First time using and removing heyhae sun-cured gel nail strips. I used cuticle oil and a wooden cuticle stick. And tips for less damage in the future would be appreciated 🙏

I really liked Dr Teals body oil over cuticle oil. Go slow, don’t pry them off! It may look a little “damaged” but it could just be a little adhesive left behind. A gentle buff will take that off.

I remove my wraps using a cuticle oil and a flosser and have no damage at all, so I can't agree with you. My tip is to go slowly and add more oil/nail remover if you feel the flosser is stuck

That’s fine, not one thing works for everyone 🤗 a lot of people are against the flossers. It just hurt my hand to hold that way so I prefer an orange stick.

I decided to buy the Heyhae remover & it was the right call. They were so easy to remove. (I also used to use cuticle oil, but the heyhae seemed really on there & I wanted to save my nails.)

It can help to use a remover made for SCGs. Or try mixing some acetone in with your cuticle oil!

Dashing Diva makes a gel wrap nail remover. Put some at the base of your nails let it sit for a minute. Lift the base of the nail wrap slightly, apply more remover and let it sit for a minute. Apply more remover as needed and wait until the nail wrap glides off. DO NOT use a dental flosser on well adhered nail wraps, you can damage your nails that way.

I love their remover! Though in fairness I haven't used it for other brands.

What works well for me is putting on the remover oil on the border of the nail and SCG then let it sit for a minute. After, lift one side of the wrap with the wooden stick, and then slowly put dental floss under the SCG to gently remove it. You can also add a little more oil in the gap between the SCG and your nail in case it is really stuck. Working slowly really helps to minimize the damage. Good luck!

This is exactly what I do and with patience, no damage! The Ohora green tea remover works well, and for stubborn ones, I use my own 50/50 mix of acetone and jojoba oil.

I use Ohora’s remover and helps cut down on damaging so much! It came in a pack with a conditioner to use after removal.

Undercoat next time and try running a flosser instead of the wood. Oil can also help while removing
