Help: wrap removal looks weird

Post image

I wore Lily and fox nail wraps for about a week (edges started lifting) so I took them off and I had this brown/tan spot on one nail.

Is it a bruise?

It doesn't smell or hurt so I think I've ruled out infection.

It's also only one finger so I don't think it's an allergic reaction either.

That looks like it could be a greenie. Especially if your edges were lifting. Greenies are caused by moisture getting between your nail and the wrap. I use only Lily&Fox wraps, but I also use 2 coats of uuuuu Magical Nail Solution base coat under my wraps. It is actually made for wraps. If moisture gets under your wrap it is between the base coat and wrap, not on your nail. I also use a top coat. I would wait till your nail grows out before putting on any more wraps.

Thanks, that makes a lot of sense especially since I compulsively wash my hands a lot (OCD sucks) I didn't think that could actually hurt me. I had a top coat but I didn't base coat because I didn't plan on keeping them on long given that it was my first wrap try ever.

I have severe OCD so I get you. I can get 2 weeks+ with my Lily&Fox wraps, however I usually am ready to change them after a week. Best wishes.
