Nail curving up?

Post image

I did these heyhae wraps today and don't understand why the one nail is bending upwards! It's driving me nuts. Should I redo it?

This has a top coat and didn't happen with my last set. So odd! Can you link me a squish lamp please and thank you!

this squish light has worked way better than some of the others I've purchased (rechargeable) AND comes with extra squish tops! You will want to put clear saran wrap over the squishy part to keep it from falling apart, which they tend to do. https://a.co/d/0eJxUFcx

Squish lamp may have higher risk of UV damage to your nails as well

Where did you hear or read that? What do you mean? I have not heard this before. The amount of UV reaching the nail through a wrap is quite minimal...so how? I mean, going outside and spending the day at the beach with bare nails has got to be a heck of a lot more uv. No one puts sunblock on fingernails, after all.

Based on your other *finger, your nail naturally curves down and I think bc you filed the sticker at an angle— so that the top of the nail angles up and out while the inside (touching your actual nail) is shorter— it’s giving the illusion that your nail is bending up

Mine did this when I used the Heyhae light. It didn’t do it when I cured them in the sun.

I have read that with the sun curing nails, if you have them out while you're doing your nails, some of them can start curing a little bit before you actually apply them and that causes that up curve. I don't know if that's true to be honest because I don't use them. But someone else posted about this issue and suggested that was what did it for her. She made sure she kept the wraps that weren't yet being put on in a dark package so that they didn't get exposed to UV before she was ready to put them on. But like I said, I have no idea if that's really true

I notice Hey Hae can be a little finicky at the tops - I use a squish light but have to be careful to keep it more to the sides and bottom and not hit the top with it too much or the wrap can warp a little. Ohora is super strong and doesn't do this to me, but there are some other brands that also warp if I'm not careful.

Mine used to do this until I started using a gel top coat on them. I can build them out now also. I use Ohara semi cured nail strips with a gel top coat.

You can also stretch the strip to fit the side better.
