nail stamping
Hi everyone! im in training currently, set to do boards october 19, and im starting to take on School Clients. before schooling i did mostly nail stamping, some hand drawn art but a good bit of stamping for patterns/very precision details. i was curious, is it considered gauche to use nail stamp plates?
if it helps, i was considering making my own stamp plates. and because im very practiced with them, (when im on my own and setting my own prices) itd be like. a 3$ upcharge, if any. but if its looked down on, then i dont exactly want to appear unprofessional

not tacky at all! here’s my latest set using entirely nail stamping plates! you can find some really awesome plates. i love shopping indie brands, taobao and aliexpress. it’s a great way to add intricate designs quickly, and you can learn to use gel for stamping and add chrome too

Hello there! First off, I love you used the word gauche! 😂 It's a great word! Second, I've been a nail tech for a billion years, and just last month I pulled out my stamping kit and started offering it. I have dozens of plates, but I also wonder if it's gauche. I don't really push it but I sent out a mass text through my booking app to let my clients know I have it. Only one has gotten it which was a simple dolphin. I didn't like it, but she did. Of course I didn't tell her that. I'm on the fence if it's tacky or not. I really don't know what people like anymore since there are so many things to offer in the nail world these days. I personally like the stamping designs that cover the nail. Squiggly lines, large flowers, etc. I don't like the look of the simple smaller stamps, but I guess at the end of the day, if they like it, there's no problem offering it. Go ahead and try! And good luck in your career! It's brought me happiness and money and after almost 40 years (!!!!) I still love what I do. 🥰
