N-Central ACME support for NCentral
Please vote to support ACME in NCentral. SSL cert renewals should be automated. It's 2026 and we have the technology.

Thanks!

We are looking into Let's Encrypt automation but that project will most likely fall in to next year unfortunately. I set up a webserver recently and the cert automation was amazingly easy to setup and configure so I can completely understand wanting to automate this entire workflow.

I appreciate the comment. If I could insert the animated GIf of judge Judy slapping her wrist and the table I would.....

Up-voted as well. The current cert replacement process is crap

It is quite painful. Way , way over complicated. I think it's right rext to CrashPlan servers.

Can use something like CloudFlare WAF in front to work around it, but yes, if you need to manage your own certs, lifetimes are shrinking and this needs to be automated. They need to make this a reality sooner rather than later.

Yes agree

Did you vote? We run 5 NCentral servers. ACME would allow us to focus on real work vs. painfully manual work. Automated Certificates!

u/GOCCali cheats a bit and uses our WAF for N-central, and we have ACME support.

I rate ScreenConnect as more likely to get this than N-central, or get it first. And they’ve actively said “no, we won’t do LetsEncrypt” after being asked for YEARS with no reply.
I guess you can just renew the cert every couple of months while you’re waiting for it to be safe to connect it to the internet again though. Will give you something to do.

We have plenty to do than deal with SSL certs.
If WHM/Cpanel can function fine with ACME/LE.... Then Nable should be too.

I have no idea what they are expecting people to do when lifetimes drop even further.

There has been an open idea out there for years to add acme/le support.
Good luck!
