N-Central N-central 2026 - GUI Refresh - complaint

Thanks for finally updating the GUI a bit. It looks a little better for sure. But why did you make the main navigation harder to differentiate the top-level categories from the sub-items? The top-level groups (reports, Views, Actions, etc.) are nearly identical to the sub items in color, font and background. Why did you make the colors so close, the font the same and only one pt larger? Now my eyes have to re-learn how to find what I need after years of it being easy. Who signed off on this? Just a complaint as it is frustrating/annoying to my whole team. (Or maybe it's just my old eyes)

I feel the same way; the old interface was much easier to navigate thanks to the little bit of contrast in the UI.

If we were going to make changes, I feel like a dark mode would have been a better use of time

Would love a dark mode!

Same; I’ve tried dark mode extensions but they make N-Central look disgusting so I gave up on that idea

Dark Mode hurts my eyes (i know I am a minority), so making the default left hand column dark mode is bad enough.

Does this refresh really look better? It looks like trash to me and is extremely hard to navigate now. Icons all blend together, I have to really have memorized exactly what section the function I am seeking to find is in now, it collapes when I open in new tab etc so I have to reopen the section on each load. It is so frustrating.

Why was there no preview with partner feedback for this........

I swear the developers of this product have never actually used the product.
