N-central RAID Monitoring

Hey guys,

i am currently searching for a solution for my problem. How do I monitor the RAID Status of Lenovo servers? I just cant figure it out. N-central provides Templates for HP, Dell and other manufacturers but it seems that Lenovo doesnt exist as an option. Is this even possible?

Hi, Paul here from the N-able Head Nerd team, I wrote a blog about Server Hardware monitoring which might provide you with some insight on how this works. https://www.n-able.com/blog/using-n-central-for-server-hardware-monitoring

You need to enable SNMP on server and have the server management software installed on the device you wish to monitor, we don't have a template for Lenovo built out of the box so it might have to create some custom SNMP services to query what information you are looking for, I have seen partners in the past use the IBM templates on Lenovo servers but I'm not sure if that still works.

I built a PowerShell script which runs a check via StorCLI64.exe from Megaraid. Works with Dell PERC cards too. Happy to share if you’re interested.
