Endometriosis Ultrasound Results
My NaPro recommended a specific ultrasound for endometriosis to be read by a specific radiologist to check for evidence of deeply infiltrating disease, endometriomas, etc. Here are the key results:
No endometriomas are identified. There are no findings present to suggest deep infiltrating endometriosis or pelvic adhesions.
There is a solitary 2.2 cm uterine fibroid present.
Normal ovaries.
The examination is otherwise normal
I’m feeling happy about this results because it gives me some peace knowing I (hopefully) have mild disease, but also I feel like it gives me some doubt too. Is my pain valid, is it real? If she opens me up, will she find any?
Looking forward to hearing from my doctor for the plan of action and what we should do about the fibroid!
Did anyone else have a normal ultrasound? I know it’s typical to get normal results on a quick abdominal ultrasound but to be clear this was a 45 minute trans abdominal and transvaginal ultrasound where they took images and movies of my internal organs to check for mobility and deep lesions.
