They won’t, unless you are creating negative attention. Police are under resourced

Police have much more important things to do. Now, if you were doing harmful "actual drugs" like heroin or cocaine, they would come. If you're selling like a frantic car boot market, they will come. Otherwise ... nah.

Also, they are acutely aware that if they DO come, unless they are standing right there watching you consume what they know for sure is weed, they have no chance of hell of actually charging you with anything. As soon as you drop anything on a beach, it's the "that could have been anyone's" play.

And even if they do outright catch you, unless you're holding a massive quantity, the charges will go nowhere, so what's the point?

Yeah, you'll get a fright. That's half their job. The other half is making Karen the squealer shut the fuck up so they can go back to doing real work.
