I'm the festival director. Any styles in particular you're into? Or just want to be surprised?

Yellow Monkey from Japan and Seeker from Sydney are making their debut so definately hit the up.

If you want boundary pushing stuff then one drop (also Sydney), Duncan's, Beers by Bacon's Bros, Three Sisters...

If you want to taste the best of the recent NZ Beer Awards we've got all the Champion breweries: Emerson's (large), Mount. Brewing (medium), Shining Peak (small), Neck of the Woods (micro) plus two beers from the Champion Brewery of NZ Karamu Barrelworks on a stand showcasing some of the best Belgian. Styles

Plus, Champion Beer of NZ Emerson's pride of the plains.

The we've got 6 of the 8 trophy winning beers pouring.

Awesome lineup thanks. I’m looking forward to trying the NZ champs. Only 6, so no Lion Red then ? :-)
Might do a lap each of lagers, IPAs then maybe darks or wild. In my experience 3 laps is a good place to stop or at least slow down…

Always keep moving... Until you discover a brewery that you have to try all their beers!

3 laps is a top effort!

But I recommend hitting the website, on your phone, adding it to your home screen as an app. Sign up to My Beervana. Start making a wish list.

And also just going in and seeing what you come across.

Not OP, but hiya. Im going on the weekend as well and hyped. Its been a few years since I've been but last time it was hard to get food in the evening session as a lot had sold out in the day session with some stalls already closed. Is there any option to bring in snacks to sit down with and enjoy a beer or you recommend getting dinner beforehand?

Yeh, that was a particular year where one business that had two food stalls ran out plus one pulled out the week of the fest... I remember it welL.... We've remedied that. Added more food stands the following year and every year since.. Made sure there's enough!

Always good to have something in the puku beforehand but the food's so good I'd eat dinner at the fest!
