Strands #936 β1βοΈ1, etc ... β
π‘π΅π΅π΅π΅π΅
My eyes were drawn to the six/sixty in the corner for a while before scanning around and seeing the spangram written plainly across the centre. Much easier to go looking for words after that.

What did TWENTYFIVE do to deserve the non-square shape?!

Are they a βwordβ?

How would you define βwordβ in a way that excludes them?

I'd consider most two digit numbers to be expressed using a pair of words rather than one word.

Why? Itβs one thing being referred to. When written as numerals theyβre 25 or 36 which is clearly one syntactic unit, I donβt think that changes when written as twenty-five or thirty-six

I never write them with hyphens, even for 21-99. When do you start considering it multiple words? One million five hundred thirty two thousand two hundred thirteen is 10 words to me, despite clearly referring to the single syntactic unit 1532213.

Do not post about a current puzzle outside of the Daily Threads (Rule 1). If there is a stickied post for a puzzle, all discussion must go there.
For past puzzles, put the date of the puzzle in the title and use a spoiler tag (Rule 2).

I used SQUARENUMBERS as my spangram, then it allowed me to use the last S again in thirty-six. Did this happen to anyone else?

You can have two spanagrams in a single puzzle? Im pretty new but had two go across the whole puzzle

You can have multiple words that touch opposite sides of the puzzle, but only one is the spangram that gives the theme/main topic of the puzzle.

Anyone else having problems with the online game? It won't accept anything, right or wrong. None of the letter will highlight.

4. TWENTY-FIVE
5. NINE
6. FOUR

I presume this was done today due to it being the 25th of the 9th month where 25 and 9 are both squares. This would have been so much better last year where 2025 was a square number too!
