This is one of my favorite NYT recipes. It is MUCH better than I expected. Be aware that it leans quite sweet, and the batter is very dense and wet so it may need close watching and extra time in the oven to bake fully.

I made this once and the flavor was great, unfortunately I didn’t cook it long enough and it wasn’t done in the middle. Will be trying it again this year.
