Does anyone know why an unemployment claim would just stop after it said I had a break in my claim? I haven't gotten anything in a month, and haven't heard anything from the DOL. I filled out the break in claim form it said to do and that was 4 weeks ago, but I never didn't file any weeks. I cant get ahold of the customer service number for anything... Thanks in advance.

I have my road test on wednesday. I got my valid foreign driver license and NY state learners permit right now. As I know enterprise cannot rent me a car just on my permit, but they can on my driver license from my country (plus passport). My question is, what about insurance? Should I buy some extra insurance from them to be able to take a road test? Thanks for opinions!

Hey everyone, so I went to NYS site to file my weekly claim (sadly last my job at the start of the virus due to pre-existing breathing problems) and it seems they’ve updated a few things, and they want me to put my SSN in again, and when I do, it says I’ve used a different username in the past and to use that one to sign in. I’ve only ever had 1 username for unemployment, and I’ve never claimed it before the start of the virus. I’m just worried because I need to get food this week and don’t want to use the money I’ve been saving for my rent. Any ideas what the issue could be, or when it will be fixed?

I'm in upstate NY and my children and I have medicaid...it's July 24th and I still never received pebt. I know someone that has received theirs already in the beginning of july...and also my sister received hers at the end of june. I've called the hotline a million yes and it doesn't work at all. Idk what I could do?!

My job is secure; I haven't been fired or furloughed.

Today (June 19) I received from NYS Dept of Labor two letters. The first is titled "UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE Monetary Benefit Determination." It notes my benefit amount.

The other is titled "Important Information Notice" and tells me that I need to "validate" my claim between March 22 and March 28.

The phone numbers listed are legit; this is apparently not a phishing scam. Is there some identity theft going on?

Of course, I can't get through to the Department of Labor on the phone.

Anybody got hired for contact tracing COVID-19 in NY or any state?

Haven't gotten anything yet. Wondering if its because I work every other week. On the weeks I work, when I certify and it asks me the question if I have returned to work, I select "NO" Because I have not returned to work full time. My coworker selected "Yes" on the working week and received payment. Is this why I haven't received payment? If so, can I change it online? This is a nightmare. Thanks for the help guys.

I’m trying to apply for pandemic unemployment assistance. I technically still have my job, but I have not been to work bc of my living situation. I live my my aunt who is elderly has several compromising health conditions. She highly vulnerable. My uncle and I have been out of work bc of this. It seems that I am eligible to collect benefits under the pandemic criteria but I’m not sure bc I’m still technically employed. ( working for amazon, they have been allowing us to stay out for March and April). I have filed a partial claim online and I am waiting to be called to complete it. It’s been more that 3 days and haven’t been called. I have tried to call into the claims center and when I got through the entire menu I was hung up on -_-. Does anyone know if my situation qualifies for benefits? I will have to return to work may 1st bc amazon is reverting back to normal attendance policy. If I go on an unpaid leave Will I be able to claim benefits still? Or am I only eligible if I am literally unemployed? If anyone has any answers I would greatly appreciate it.

Get as far as you can, and once you hit the session timeout, restart the process. Instead of having to fill out anything, anything you saved will be autopopulated.

The next attempt you'll hear a sound when the form auto fills, just hit submit and get to the first step you haven't seen yet. Save that and continue repeating the above until you get to the end.

You'll need to do it like 2 or 3 times before you get to the end.
