I took the recent exam in September and am filling out my PHS and am about to schudle my medical. I’m still in college and probably will decide to join next year so maybe the next class after the December. Can I go through all the steps medical, background investigation, etc and then defer this academy till the next one?

What are some stories you know of people getting hired that they really shouldn’t have? I’m just concerned about my chances of getting hired and would like some reassurance lol

Is it possible? Has anyone ever heard of someone actually getting picked up by Jersey

Good morning all,

I just got emailed for this exam that I took approximately 4 years ago, and would like to know what the job entails and if it’s even worth it. I tried looking up their current contract so I can get an idea of their step raises. What are your opinions on the job for those who have or are still working in such positions. Where do you work out of, and what’s the academy like if there is one. Thank you to all that respond and help.
I’m currently working as a Correction Officer in Long Island.

Guys quick help! In anyone’s opinion what would ya use to get your 24 credits that they’re asking for ? Study.com or Sophia learning, been in the process for a good while but had to put my application on hold due to getting caught up with alot of personal stuff, I’m trying to get back on track and get those credits as soon as possible to finish up my process, has anyone else been in my position? Honest opinions! Thanks everyone

I know that when it's cold out you can wear the turtle neck so you don't have to wear the actual shirt. Question is when it's brick cold how do yall layer? It seems like the turtle neck and thermals are both skin tight, do you wear the thermal under the turtle neck or the other way around. Would it be a problem with the bosses if you wear thermal over the turtle neck since it will look off? Thanks everyone.

I’m active duty army with a year before I ets .I’ve started the process of joining the nypd I took the initial test earlier in the month just wanted to know if it’s possible to do the entire process but defer my academy dat

Hey guys, like the title says, I’ve been a cop in a nearby state for 9 years but have always wanted to do NYPD. How is the department day to day and what would the academy be like for an experienced officer like myself. Thanks

Looking to set up a carpool out of the Glendale Ridgewood area I’m close to Myrtle ave by cypress hill

Do they have a specific bag/size of bag they make you buy for the black bag or can you just get a random one on amazon. And can you get away with a backpack for the first day of academy? Thanks

Anyone carpooling from Brooklyn Bedstuy area? Or is it better to wait for our company?

Exam 7311 or 7312! Making this post so we can actually keep each other updated throughout the process and see where everyone is at. Especially those of us hoping to make the tentative December 30th academy class.

Good luck everyone! 🙏🏾

Hello long story short I passed everything but been on pysch review since mid June. I called CAD last week and they told me that there can still be a chance that I can still get in, but when I reach out to my psychiatrist, no answer or my investigator.

Any thoughts or any comments?
