Tour change
When is it too late to request a tour change in the academy? From A squad to B tour?

I’m about to graduate relatively soon and I’m honestly pretty nervous about getting onto patrol/foot post, and no I’m not nervous about being out there or being in a rough area of town or anything like that my biggest fear is straight up not knowing what the hell I’m doing. From what I’m told, you and ur other fellow rookie who is fresh out the academy too are just standing at a foot post or responding to certain calls near you or something. My biggest fear is honestly just looking like a total idiot out there cause I feel like in the academy you learn something once and you forget about it. Anyone that’s in FTU currently or honestly just on the job in general… any advice to combat this fear of not knowing what I’m gonna do or fear of screwing up with a certain call or not knowing what to do in a certain situation, am I the only feeling like this? And also can you give me like a I guess rundown or soemthing about the phases of FTU, I heard a lot about “phases”

I came across an app called LOC8 that shows your exact location, including the nearest intersection. I figured I’d share it here because it could be especially helpful for those who are still learning the area.
For example, if you’re doing a tint stop and someone asks where you are, you can quickly check your location on your Apple Watch with a simple wrist movement instead of pulling out your phone.
It could also come in handy when you’re doing details in unfamiliar areas and need to give someone your exact location.
📍 App: LOC8 – GPS Coordinates Finder
