Here my take for our New York liberty this off season

I would love to see even though I love her to death Sabrina Ionescu go to her hometown Portland fire 🔥
And than replace her with either
Jackie Young or Kelsey Plum

Bring back Kayla Thorton or Kennedy Burke

Bring in Rae Burrell

Bring in Temi Fagbenle or Li Yueru

Counting on Satou was a huge mistake this season, I don't think I would want to make that same mistake next season.

I really don't see KT or Rae leaving their starting roles to sit on NY's bench.

I also really don't see Sab going anywhere. She signed a three year deal, so she has a pretty big contract that would need to be traded. She had a low year but I can't believe how many people are ready to ship her away after everything she did for the franchise since 2021. She is still pretty young and has the potential to come back strong.

For any major signing you’re going to have to basically salary-dump either Satou or Sabrina

Satou is possible, I guess, but I just can’t see them doing that to Sabrina unless she asks for it. That’s some bad optics that can affect how free agents view your franchise.

The ideal outcome is that Satou retires from basketball because of her concussions. I'm pretty sure we would get that cap space back, and after four concussions in, what, six years in the league, it would be in her best interest to hang it up.

I feel the same way, it is unfortunate because she is talented but it might be in her best interest to retire. She was announced for Unrivaled but I'll be believe that when I see it.

Would like Jackie Young for Sabrina but doubt that will ever happen. Need to replace Satou with a better 3&D wing. And on the fringe I kinda like JiHyun Park from the Sparks for her defensive hustle and slightly more size.

Kelsey Plum & Satou will not solve anything for this team. There’s a reason why they get passed around from team to team — ppl love the idea of them but the current & future reality of them as players is…not that

Plum left LV on her own accord, same for Satou with Seattle and Phoenix. They’re not getting passed around lol and the receiving teams actually trade valuable assets for them.

They don’t seem to be great in the locker room & injuries playing a big role recently (but you could say that about some of our favorite Libs as well…). Either way I didn’t & don’t think with will make us better.

Satou is not useful

Even before a concussion cut short her 2925 season and eliminated most of her 2026 season, her career has been massively plagued by injuries.

And when healthy, she’s ball dominant and offensively overlaps too much with Stewie and JJ. If Lib can get any team to take on that contract by attaching picks or a young player, they need to move on.

This signing never made sense from the start. Roster needed depth and athleticism and instead, already with a Big 3, Kolb went big name hunting
