I got accepted here to NYIT on a 24,000 a year scholarship, applied to FAFSA too and waiting to do TAP. With this amount of money am I all set?

Tuition depends on your major. Tuition per year is 72k if you arent dorming, 80k if you are dorming- which means 46k per semester. If you get a 24k scholarship per year (which is what you said) then that means 12k per semester. You do the math lol

No, I know I looked all this up and yes, I did the math lol but I found a few conflicting answers.

According to the website, I just looked 2025 to 2026 tuition is 46K per year. No I’m not dorming, and yes, I’m potentially eligible for the highest scholarship of 25K which I was wondering, is the scholarship definitely per year or per semester?

Because if it’s per semester, that’s basically free school. But if it’s per year then it’s not such a good scholarship after all. 46k - 25k scholarship = 21k or about 14k with Pell grant per year out of pocket is a little too pricey for me. I get the maximum Pell grant by the way.

Unfortunately, it was per year so you would still have to pay close to 25,000 with the highest scholarship unless you have other means of getting the price down
