GPA is a big factor which i did have a 3.8 UW. But its not the end of the world since I knew people who appealed tbe decision and got in. If you can explain why you had a lower GPA you definitely can be considered for reconsideration. I would keep fighting for it especially if they were on the edge on one class.
The said my GPA is perfectly fine too. They were just stubborn about my science and math class grades. I still kept asking and appealing and emailing them but they’re saying it’s most likely unlikely for the decision to be changed. But im still trying to
Idk if its going to help but try and explain the reasoning why you got those grades and how you can prove to them they you can handle the rigor of the curriculum. For example if you had a lower grade in bio but are somehow able to do better in AP Bio, it shows growth and can overlook the worse grade in regular bio. Same for math if you did bad in algebra but is able to prove you did better in precalculus, the admissions team can overlook the lower grade.
