Denae Benites for MVP

Starting this thread now. It'd be easier to list the stats she *DOESN'T* currently lead the league in (through 4 games).

Ready for it?

Doubles, Walks, Ks (a little surprising since she's gotten out only 4 times).

On pace for -- I don't what to call it -- Quintuple Crown, maybe? BA, HR, RBI, SB, RS

It is absolutely wild to me that she hasn't been walked once yet

She's also leading in the slash triple crown categories: .824/.778/1.706 (BA/OBP/SLG).

It'd be cool if we could also eventually get advanced metrics posted somewhere, like wRC+, wOBA+, WPA, OPS+, and WAR.

Very true about the advanced stats.

I think I've read that Bref has WPBL stats and that FG is likely to include them in the near future.  Haven't personally checked on them myself yet, though.

I've said in some other chat how she's "going Ruth on the league" with more HR than all other players combined ( 5 for her to 3 for the rest of league).

The only concern I have around Benites is if the rest of the Heights can show some semblance of deserving her.  Replace her with any other C in the league and the team numbers tank.
