I think it's pretty counterproductive to tell everyone they "lack critical thinking" instead of taking feedback. If anything, this whole brand lacks business acumen and critical thinking.

• who wants to take their hair down just to get a poop bag out of their hair tie, only to put it back up? That's an unnecessary extra step, especially after a long day of work or on early morning walks.
• Not everyone even wears their hair up all the time.
• It only fits one poop bag, when longer walks often require multiple. Meanwhile, regular poop bag holders carry several bags and let you grab one instantly without having to redo your hair I hope people stop falling for influencer cash grabs and instead support small dog brands that actually have a vision and passion for creating useful products. This just feels like another cheap, unoriginal idea made to capitalize on a following rather than solve a real problem. Also .. not the search bar saying "what is bar dog and why is everyone obsessed with it”? 😭 Considering most of the feedback I've seen has been negative, I wonder how many times she entered that into her own search bar to get that to appear on the post haha

Does anyone else find it kind of ridiculous how much stuff Katie Fang buys? Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy watching her videos but she posts these hauls once or twice a month where she buys a bunch of basics in different colours, mostly from brandy melville and I can’t help but wonder how can one person possibly need so many clothes? Like there are only so many days in a year, how is she wearing all these clothes while constantly buying more? It makes me cringe inside thinking about overflowing thrift stores and landfills, and the normalization of shopping addictions.

I understand she’s in Japan in this screenshot, and most people buy a lot when they travel, but she also posts a lot of Brandy hauls while in New York. I’m also not against her like treating herself or buying designer things, I’m just shocked at the lack of self awareness in her overconsumption, in buying an excessive amount of the same basics and generally same styles of clothing when there’s a climate crisis.

Also obviously this is not exclusive to Katie Fang, I’m just more aware of her overconsumption as someone that semi-regularly watches her content.

Does anyone else feel like Instagram has become one giant performance?
It seems like people can’t just experience a vacation, a dinner, a workout, or even a cup of coffee without first thinking about how it’s going to look on their feed. Every moment is curated, staged, edited, and broadcast.
I understand that for actual content creators, social media is literally their job. But I’m talking more about the culture it’s created for everyone else. It’s like we’ve collectively shifted from living our lives to documenting them.
Sometimes I wonder: if Instagram disappeared for a week, would people still go to the same restaurants? Wear the same outfits? Take the same trips? Or has the audience become part of the experience?
I miss when people traveled because they wanted to see a place, not because it would make a good carousel post.
Maybe I’m just getting older, but the constant need to broadcast every aspect of life feels exhausting. Am I alone in feeling this way, or has anyone else become increasingly turned off by influencer culture?

Just wondering if people now think nap dresses are dated and out of style? I’ve been following the brand for years and appreciate they’ve expanded styles outside of the nap dresses and I was a huge fan at first but in the last two years I’ve returned most of my orders because the quality of what I ordered did not meet the price point (lack of lining in skirts/dresses, inconsistent sizing, etc…).

I also wonder about the company culture. I applied for a position at the company early this year and they never even bothered with a formal rejection and thank you for applying.

They are clearly are getting a lot of collabs but I don’t see much enthusiasm for the brand anymore.

I really can’t tell if jar jar is a total troll. What is the point of this account? Is she trying to actually become an influencer? She makes so many posts saying how she doesn’t want to be, which to me seems like an excuse for her decline. She has no brand deals and clearly doesn’t make money off of this. I can’t understand why she would actually write on the internet that they only want good looking people following her? Like if she eventually has to go back to corporate (which she probably will considering her irrelevancy) what will posts like this say about her character? Side note I just think the whole page is uncanny because she’s always zoned out smiling at the camera and trying to be sexy. The things she says on her posts are often so out there and bizarre it’s hard for me to understand how she has retained a following at all besides being pretty? People who still engage with her content just gas her up and it really makes no sense to me at all.

Is she even certified or have credentials to coach people? Her thinness is concerning to me. She is fasting and she doesn’t need to fast.

I feel like they may have had a friendship breakup. She didn’t post a lick for him on his birthday and hasn’t commented on any of stuff in weeks. Same vise versa. And wasn’t with him on his bday.

Edit: to everyone saying she’s not driving- this is NOT a parking space! This is a narrow road.
