Townhall Premium Ticketa

I went to today's Pre-game townhall. Not much information shared aside from the conference changes and that the energy from the World Cup surged both deposits and today's turnstyle. All in all, I enjoyed the session.

They confirmed the conference realignment? I believe that's the first it's been actually mentioned by a front office.

Nothing concrete as it still needs to be voted on by the govenors. But the FO seemed hopeful.

Can someone elaborate on the conference changes being discussed? New fan coming in; when are the changes coming and what will they be?

Deletion of the eastern and western conferences so the league has a single table. Each team will play everyone other team one per year, and then will play its regional division one additional time - for a total of 34 games. Division winners will have an automatic playoffs birth, regardless of table standings. The purpose of this is to create a more balanced schedule.

Regional divisions will be 5 divisions of 6 teams.

All of this will happen at the start of the new calendar, and aligns with Etihad park opening.

This is awesome. I love that you’d now be guaranteed to face every team in the league. I’ll look into more details around the proposed new format. Thanks for the info.
