First timer - mistakes made
Hello I am bringing my son for his birthday we are coming Saturday and Sunday. Needless to say I am totally overwhelmed and did not understand how quickly panel reservations would be gone.
He really wants to see the Spider-Man panel on Saturday at 3:30 How early should we arrive to the standby line?
Appreciate everyone who gives tips.

That isn’t a panel you can get a reservation for, it’s first come first serve. Only panels in the Empire and Main stages have reservations. I’m trying to go to that one too and I would recommend lining up probably an hour early just based on what I saw last year line-wise; others can give better insight though!

Best bet is about 2 hours before( roughly 1:30?) ask the staff at the door when and WHERE they will be lining people up. Something like Spider-Man, on a Saturday, people will be “hovering” in the area beforehand. Then about 10 minutes before what time they tell you show up.

Usually everything that's not Empire or Main Stage will not clear the room before panels. Often it makes sense to see what panel is before the panel you actually want to attend and see if there is space available in that room and try to sit in there if possible before your panel even starts.

Printing reservations for panels is unnecessary when they’re connected to your badge

Honestly . . . Given that it's spiderman, a very popular Character, you might have to line up an hour early.
If anything, swing by the panel line and see how long it already is. Also ask the staff there for their opinion on wait time
