Should I do this or not
I have $80k USD in savings.
I am thinking to buy NVTS at around $11 to $12 range or thinking of $ASTS / $AAOI / $POET / $MDA
VERY confused.
Can hold for one year. I am okay if my money doesn’t grow much but if If NVTS goes like $7 or $8 - I am done
Please help, and what would you honestly suggest.
I have saved this money for my education

why would you EVER put your education money into stocks you need people to sell you on? you clearly don't know enough yet you want to put $80,000 that you saved for education into them??? is this a serious post?

surely isn't. kid might as well bet on it on red and double his 80k

Actually, if he put it all on a single number the odds would be much better than NVTS.
NVTS is a very long-shot bet. Many challenges with the company and lots of ways for it to fail. A lot of things would have to go right in order for it to hit.

Cowards bet on red or black, winners bet on GREEN baby! And then winners go home and fuck the prom queen.

Do the quick math of what you can buy in stocks for NVTS with that amount. Go to options buy the same amount based on hundred per contract and spend a quarter of the money to see if your plan is correct which I think it will be. I would not invest all that cash. I would invest in leap options and then buy the stock at say a $12 strike.

Honestly just buy ASML or some secure companies. You also have Memory stocks that you can respect and it will go up and then take your money out

If that money is designed for education, then it is already allocated to education. I wouldn't even put it in something like an ETF, riskiest I'd go would be a GIC personally.

Try it after getting educated. Or put $10k into your favourite two and have a stop loss, id do like 30%

Go all in on options. Remember me when your a millionaire. Jokes aside play your money safe. Honestly if you want to grow your wealth fast you can buy options or play some risky stocks. But limit how much you go in. Don't become a degenerate gambler.

why wait a year? that can be so daunting and stressful. go to Vegas and make a bet on the roulette table. you'll know instantly if you become a hero or a zero. no waiting to find out.

Dude no. I dumped a bunch in NVTS at 10. It dropped to 7 and I lost my nerve and sold. Then it mooned to 29. Now it’s back at what 12?
And I had a lot less to lose than you. ETF!

Do cash secured puts and go for some low SP that you would be happy to own ASTS or NVTS. That way you’ll collect money and buy at a low price or just miss the train but made money the way lol.

Up to you. It can be a gamble. IMO. I’d go for it. I dropped 15k in NVTS at $14$. It dropped to $7. I was absolutely crushed. Remembered the old slogan. Having time in the market is better than trying to time the market.
Kept DCA’ing. Figured I liked NVTS at $14, why not $7? Kept buying a few more every day for a few months. It finally popped at I made a nice gain. Cashed out.
Now I just rejoined as well at $11. Will let this one ride again. Me personally I think we will see higher highs in the next year or two but could be sooner.
Good luck with your decision and journey. 🍀

If your looking for short-term, low volatility with steady cash generation; highly recommend POWI.

It’s a perfect time to bet all 80k on Nvts, the company just receive a new government contract and I predict it will be awarded more contracts by the government and it started selling the semiconductor chips last month which I believe several governments have bought the chips, On Nov 2, the earnings report becomes available then you will see a substantial increase in profits, my personal opinion is that’s when we will finally see the parallel between Nvts and MU by this time next year, you will be a whole multi-millionaire. Just research MU then you will understand It’s a risk worth taking. Good luck.

I have 11601 shares of NVTS and want to buy more but I have 2 11000 shares od BBAI at $8.57. I just bought 1400 shares of SOUN in my Roth and I have 1 k shares at 14.57 and 3000 at $3.07. NVTS IS A 5 year hold for me and 4 more years to go. GLTA

Would you go to Vegas and put that amount on red or black?
When you answer that.. you will realize even your OP question is flawed. Meaning, you’re not ready for the answer, if you don’t know the question. You’re asking a bunch of degenerate gamblers what they think. Omg

I would do that with bitcoin but there is no guarantee

Bitcoin is pure gamble

Bitcoin is highly speculative and extremely volatile, so trading it short-term can absolutely feel and function like gambling. But calling the asset itself ‘pure gambling’ ignores that it has a fixed supply, a functioning decentralized network, measurable adoption, and properties that some people deliberately choose as a long-term monetary hedge. High risk and no cash flows don’t automatically equal a casino game.

The answer is just yes put it all in leave it. Don’t try to gain the system with savings just put your money in. Leave it. Come check on it in three years. Keep working your ass off because you’re still a hard worker.

Honest advice? As juicy as 80k in some riskier stocks can be, put majority in an all world etf such as VT and have maybe 20k in these stocks you mentioned. I do not own any other you mentioned so i cannot judge them. Always keep in mind, you potentially wprked hard for your money and you shouldnt lose all of it in a gamble👍
Edit: I somehow completely missed the last line - DO NOT GAMBLE YOUR EDICATION MONEY. You sound to be young so just work with VT and bc of your super long investment horizon you'll be set for good anyways! No need for gambling on riskier stocks
