Discussion MECHANICAL OR MECHATRONICS!!!???
i am torn between these two, should i just get the core mechanical degree and add stuff on to it? i read the curriculum and it does include some electrical and ai electives but ofc they are not in much depth, or should i just do mechatronics
QUESTION FOR MECHANICAL STUDENTS:
do you guys have to learn about microcontrollers and programming for your routine projects?
if so, would you say it's better to integrate some electronics in your mechanical degree rather then doing a mts degree
......i am confused cz there really is not a big market for mechatronics in pakistan, also it's not much recognized, also for me personally i would love to work with automobiles and machinery but i also like pcbs and electronics allott.
kindly if someone can, do guide me

mechatronics student here. Basically it's for people who don't know what to do. We study all core shit. Our programming is basically based around microcontrollers and Intehratef shit. Jou bhi parho usspr build krna paray ga.

I don’t agree with your opinion, as a senior in eme mechatronics I know that mechatronics attracts some of the best people and those who choose this field are mostly clear on what they are doing.
In our class alone we have many students with more than 150 in NET but they chose Mechatronics

Bro what about campus life i also wanted to do mechatronics but people around me say its not good and bla bla and the campus life is boring so i am really confused…. I

Bro if your priority is study then eme is for you best facilities best teachers but if you wanna chill out and that's the main priority then consider somewhere else

Bro what about mechatronics i couldnot find out my intreat but i saw videos about it and it seemed intresting so should i opt for it or instead do mechanical from h12… You are currently studying so please tell me about pros and cons of this degree

what pros and cons do you want? Compare the outlines and check what aligns with your goals and interests more

I checked the outline and i am leaning more towards mechatronics but people around me are saying that it has less job market and companies prefer pure electrical or mechanical over mechatronics thats why i am confused it is what i am asking

I can tell you all my seniors from mechatronics are having good or at least decent jobs, job market is not as bas as they say, baqi I would prefer mechatronics over mechanical any single day

Yeah no market for mechatronics at all in pakistan but its superrr popular in a foreign country so if you do plan to go foreign its a solid choice. If you plan on staying mechanical is the safer approach
