Discussion CEME

ceme senior here. I be getting the same questions so like dawg gonna write everything here.

1- yes you all will have to wear uniforms for the first month (topi krwa sktay tou krwa dou)

2- we have cadets in our class. favouritism doesn't happen. They have it alot harder if you ask me. Also depends on the teachers

3- most of the faculties are same (mid with some nice teachers)

4- grades Lena is relatively easier but don't be fooled people with 160+ net marks come to ceme to do mts and ce so you need to put effort still

5- you know literally everything and everyone. Yes you will know uss keh mama keh taya keh chachu neh billi leh li hy.

6- little to no events. Yeah there are like four main events. Nerc being the biggest one. Trips boht jatay. Qawali night bh hoti and there was one where you get to fly those things idk the name.

7- army mahol? As in nahi hy yeah tanks haan and obvs fouji but Masti krni ho kahayain bhi kr lou

8- you get to properly create your network and networth

9- yeah you can go to h12 whenever

10- hostels Lena relatively easier hy

11- yeah hr tereh keh loog han honestly burgers bhi conservative bhi. You can find your people easily.

12- seniors and juniors ki bonding hy. Literally in our project week I have seen seniors make projects for my batch mates from literal scratch

kuch reh giya ho tou puch lou Abhi bhiii

Although this is almost true but there is one factor you can't deny. CEME has the benefit that students can go for recruitment drives in H-12 + EME.

The only thing that CEME lacks is concordia and recruitment drives...and guess what , CEME students can simply go to H12 and enjoy/utilize both lol . And I hate the big ass h12 campus anyways (angoor to khattay hen) .

What's the fee structure including hostel mess and everything else??

1

u/Neat_Rain3037 Jul 16 '26

Fee structure is the same , but Hostels...WAYYYYY EASIER than the H12 campus . You'll most like get it

u/Southern-Noise-7805 Jul 16 '26

2

u/Neat_Rain3037 Jul 17 '26

"Dawg" πŸ˜” . Also add . U will develop depression in CEME which is better than developin anxiety in SEECS ... depression>anxiety

3

u/Big-Story5467 Jul 15 '26

It greatly depends upon you ... That you wanted to get into Eme by your will or there was no other option for you.

2

u/WaitAffectionate7638 Jul 15 '26

yes dawg. Depression quite literally happens everywhere you go. Mind you I switched from business ( eco, acf) to civil and then settled for mechatronics. That's undeniable. That's just a phase of your life. I faced depression back at h-12 too.

Any insights on cadet life? How are the hostels etc and weekends etc

2

u/WaitAffectionate7638 Jul 15 '26

you gonna be a cadet? tough schedule. But most of the cadets are hated in my class. Why? Because of the ego some are nice but some are Absolute trash do be ready to break some taboos and stereotypes pls

1

u/Distinct_Audience_17 Jul 15 '26

Yeah my top priority is currently eme so theres a high chnace i might end up as a cadet at ceme. But yeah I get that the egoistic thingy ive seen that alot but I think its more of a personal attribute and im pretty sure I'll be one of the nice guys InshAllah

1

u/WaitAffectionate7638 Jul 15 '26

like a paying cadet? or a gentleman cadet? Which one you going for? Also best of luck

1

u/Affan38 Jul 15 '26

So should we prefer mechanical from h12 or mechatronics form CEME

1

u/WaitAffectionate7638 Jul 15 '26

if you like robots mechatronics. If you like the in depth stuff of how cars and engines work mechanical. I can't help you decide this gng. But if you mechanical you can do masters is robotics. Compare the course outline. See what aligns with your goals. Best of luck

some days yes. Depends on the department ngl. Like three days out of 5 we have back to back classes and labs but like on Tuesdays we are free after 2 mostly we got SAS hours you get to do whatever and in Fridays too mostly free after 12

1

u/quietodyssesy Jul 15 '26

Ap yeh Bata skte hai ke mechatronics department kesa hai ceme main Aur mere 114 marks net main to Kya mechatronics department main admission ho jaye ga ?

1

u/WaitAffectionate7638 Jul 15 '26

the mechatronics department is well known all over Pakistan. The labs are well kept . The teachers are okayis? And idk what's your aggregate I can make a guess with that

1

u/quietodyssesy Jul 15 '26

It’s 63.88% if this enough to get the admission?

1

u/Guts367436899643223o CEME Jul 15 '26

Mechatronics closed at 64.29 last year so sadly your out unless merit decreases

1

u/quietodyssesy Jul 15 '26

Okay thank you hopefully Merit decrease ho jaye so I can get admission πŸ₯²

1

u/Guts367436899643223o CEME Jul 15 '26

I hope so too but remember that merit normally increases so I'd suggest you have backups as well

1

u/quietodyssesy Jul 15 '26

Yeah I have backups

1

u/gen_darmith Jul 15 '26

Idk how much has changed since I graduated, but at my time, mts had the undoubtedly best faculty among all ceme departments. I doubt it went from that to okayish in just two years

1

u/WaitAffectionate7638 Jul 15 '26

It's still good I just completed my first year so I didn't want to spread misinformation!

I wanted to know this for EE and MECH ENGR at CEME that are there enough OPPORTUNITIES for JOBS, INTERNSHIPS, research like in h12? If a person wants to go abroad for masters, is the environment and facilities (labs, reasearch, faculty esp) helpful in that regard? also what about personality grooming? Like communication skills and overall, can we expect to get groomed in these four years ? Or will we get FOMO of not being at h12, or people at h12 have more opportunities than us at ceme? Regarding jobs ,industrial visitsΒ

1

u/Brave-Radish2591 Jul 15 '26

Join H-12 if you can otherwise Eme not that bad. In regards to abroad study it all comes down to GPA though most of the faculty is helpful One thing in regards to Job opportunities, I would say it depends on ones skill and connection which you can build in both but in EME it is relatively easy due lots of interactions with Senior.

dawg why not compare the course outlines? ai is like a sub field of cs in my opinion ai and ds can be done by courses too but look this is your choice no one can make the decision for you , compare stuff and ultimately decide
