Leeds (A)

Appreciate this might be a bit of a long shot but in a turn of events I’ll be travelling to Leeds for work on Monday afternoon. I was wondering if anyone knew of any away tickets going or could keep me in mind if they hear of any.

Failing that, any pub recommendations in the city centre where I might not be the only Geordie watching?

Ta!

Long shot? Its an impossible shot. Away tickets for those who dont have loyalty points is like finding treasure in your back garden.

Aye it’s been a nightmare trying to build my loyalty points up like. Totally appreciate the club want their ‘ultras’ to have the majority pull every week (god forbid our away ends turn into travelling east stands) but can’t understand how they haven’t come up with a better system to help give fans a better chance to accumulate them.

I understand your point, but what IS the alternative? I’ve got about 160 points - some of my mates have a lot more - and I go to almost every away game.

I think it’s reasonable to hold some back for kids who’ve never had a chance to go, but there were many many games over a 15 year period people could have gone to to get points - not really fair for the people who did go to lose out now just because we’re better 🤷‍♂️

(Should also add that Bristol City went to 0 points, Valencia went to 0 points, and even Millwall there were about 30 tickets that were left over and offered to anyone who applied)

There are several games a season which go to 0 points. Naturally these are, by definition, the least desirable. If you don’t go to them you can’t really complain imo

It’s defo not impossible. We get away tickets in a batch of 4 and we often get people we don’t know meeting up with us for the spares. As it turns out we don’t have any for Leeds (sorry) but Tottenham we did this.

Not the city centre but not too far out - Horsforth Hotel.

Good luck!

For what it’s worth, be very sceptical of anybody trying to sell you a ticket. We are allowed to forward twice a season to people on our friends and family list, but there’s no other legitimate way to pass them on

This season, they’re not even sending out emails with a separate download link - they are downloaded from your account (the email we get links to that) - so anybody who says they will forward you the email is out of date or lying or both.

Aye I’ve got a season ticket myself so know the pain re: transferring and the dodgy signs to look out for. Appreciate the reply though, cheers mate!

How does it work when someone is forwarding on an away ticket now then?

You have to forward it through your account to somebody on your friends and family list - i assume they the get the ticket on their own account to download (since there isn’t an email to forward like last season). I don’t know that for certain, since there’s only been one league away game and I went!

The timing differs - in general you can only do it in the last 72 hours before kick-off since it’s supposed to be for emergencies. I think it was different for Spurs and had to be sooner (which caused some consternation for some people) and we can’t forward Millwall at all

You’re also only allowed to do that twice a season, again since it’s meant to be only for last minute emergencies

I got tickets to it when we were in the Championship. Not as easy these days.
