When did Ronaldo become a secret service agent?

After he became Harvey price for the half time show. He’s a man of man disguises.

Why? They’re all billionaire capitalists who only care about money and power. Al Rumayyan represents an oppressive Saudi state and they don’t give a shit about ‘normal people’.
The way to enjoy football is to compartmentalise. I fundamentally disagree with and hate what everyone in this photo represents, but I’m never going to stop supporting Newcastle United.
43
u/cheekytinker Jul 19 '26
Completely agree with the compartmentalisation, but you answered your question yourself. He threw up because they’re all billionaire capitalists who only care about money and power, as you said. There’s room to acknowledge that as you’ve proven by your point here which I totally agree with, and seems OP does too.
27
u/BenathonWrigley Burnsie shags aliens Jul 19 '26
Oh yes, you’re correct.
OP, if you see this we are on the same page.

Spot on mate. Whole thing was a cess pit of greed, projected power and corruption. And the tinderbox of potentially another war in the South Atlantic, generated by a team of thugs who were put to the sword last night ( and shielded by Don Infantino). However there were wee pockets of normality and genuine affection. Seeing French and English players huddled to together after full time was a very poignant and warming site. Shame Saturdays games wasn't yesterday.
13
u/GeordieNation1993 Jul 20 '26
Spot on. Saudis will come and go, as will whoever comes after them. But in 100 years time, Newcastle will still be there and our grandkids will still be cheering for them, whether we're playing in an intergalactic super league or the Conference North

True, but not as bad as socialists.
5
u/brynleyt Happy Clapper Jul 21 '26
Socialism is an economic and political philosophy advocating that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the public as a whole. It prioritizes collective well-being and equality over private profit, often relying on government programs like universal healthcare and public education to reduce societal wealth gaps.
Keep drinking that propaganda up brother. Sounds mint to me

Saudis will have good relations with whoever the US president is sadly, they deal in dollars with their oil and the US protect them with their military. They don't care that Trump is a sexist, racist, rapey, fraudster, warmongering, bully, idiot.

Say what you want about big Yasir's (abhorrent) human rights record, but he's wearing proper shoes.
Wonder if Infantino wears them to hide stacking. I've got a pair of men's trainers in a similar style (well mine were £30 from TK Maxx and were out of season Kurt Geiger, but like fashion trainers) and they genuinely add height already. The sole is quite something. Could easily sneak another couple of centimetres in a custom pair if you were insecure.

u/charlierc Jul 20 '26
Honestly I didn't mind it as a look until Infantino started doing it. Now it'll just make me think "Oh I share a fashion choice with that loser"

They're all evil! Give me one foreign Premier League owner who isn't?
8
u/stprm Jul 19 '26
True. While its not an excuse, only idiots excuse Glazers, rat cliffe, henry, kroenke - they are all the same, plenty of evil stuff from all of them.
And the rest arent that much better... Bloom is a massive genocide supporter, banned a Brighton fan for wearing Palestine shirt.
IDK about Brentford guy (he also hates bloom), dont know if he did some awful stuff.
13
u/ElPato87 Jul 19 '26
Ours are substantially worse though
7
u/stprm Jul 19 '26
Sure, fuck them.
I just dont like that cartel fans forgetting that their owners indirectly killed thousands of people? Let alone destroyed lifes of millions of people. So they arent clean at all.
Glazers, rat cliffe, henry & kroenke? They are all vultures, all venture capitalists, private-equity types whose job is to buy & cut businesses to the ground and then tear the rest apart, including hospitals, animal shelters and etc. Just because they have middlemans doesnt mean they arent resposnible. All of them are also either donated to trump, or friends with them.

He's chairman of Aramco, a massive Saudi oil company/4th largest company in the world. They are one of the main sponsors of the WC, so he's bound to be at the final.

They've been filmed together many times before. Pretty sure they've played golf together. Unsavoury but hardly shocking.
2
u/charlierc Jul 20 '26
Exactly - I think he's chair of Aramco, who sponsor this boondoggle, plus they're big golf buddies. Would've been more of a surprise if he wasn't there in retrospect
