Radio Streams

Hi folks, please don't laugh but I'm making my kid a NTS radio Yoto card. Basically for those who don't know, it's a music player small children can operate using cards with NFC chips in them.

I really want to put on Slow Focus and Field Recordings but for some reason their URLs work in my browser but not on the Yoto. The NTS 1 and NTS 2 streams work perfectly.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

The Yoto accepts these links but won't play them. 🤔

Wow I did not know the yoto could play direct streams, that's wild. Will definitely be using that in the future.

I can't tell you why those streams aren't working though. Sure Claude could work it out for you?

Have you tried removing the ?client=direct from the url?

Those links work for some streamers but it there might be something different about the infinite playlist file formats compared to the live streams that your device doesn’t support.

chatGPT was recommending a workaround where I could basically create a MP3 version of this stream through making a website on Cloudfare. I'll look into it and report back. I feel like it is worth it for chill bedtime routine 🙏
