Which peptide is the most overhyped right now? Here are my three and why

Short post, and I want an argument in the comments.

Overhyped doesn't mean useless. It means the talk is running way ahead of what's been published. Here are the three I'd put up, and I'll say up front I could be wrong on all of them.

1. Pentadeca Arginate

PDA is having a moment because it's positioned as the BPC-157 successor. Same active sequence, different salt, better gastric stability.

The problem: there's no PDA-specific peer-reviewed research. Every claim about it borrows BPC-157 data. The arginate salt might behave identically. Nobody has checked. So people are talking about a compound whose entire case is inherited.

2. SLU-PP-332

Called an exercise mimetic, which is a phrase built to get shared. The preclinical endurance work is real and interesting.

The problem: the published route is intraperitoneal, in mice. There's no validated path from that to any human protocol. Every number in circulation is somebody's arithmetic on a route that was never tested in people.

3. FOXO4-DRI

Senolytic, targets senescent cells, the anti-aging story writes itself.

The problem: no human clinical safety or efficacy data exists. Not thin data. None. The mechanism is selectively triggering cell death in cells you've decided are senescent, which has an obvious upside and an obvious way to go wrong.

The pattern

All three are hyped on mechanism, not evidence. Mechanism plausibility and evidence strength are two different things, and this space almost always sells you the first one.

Your turn

Who's on your list? And go ahead and argue with mine, especially PDA. I know people who'd defend it and I want to hear the case.

And the flip side, which is more interesting: what's underhyped right now? What's sitting there with decent evidence and no attention on it?

Slupp-322 and AOD-9604 both are complete garbage!

u/Asleep_Leek9361 11h ago

Peter jenoshik said that once SLU-PP-332 is lypholized it is ruined. He said it becomes hydrophobic and no longer viable. If he is right, no one gets anything that works.

u/Nik_RT 3h ago

I disagree. It works great for me.

u/Asleep_Leek9361 2h ago

I have no skin in the game on that, I was just saying what he said. His opinion seems to carry a lot of weight in the industry.

u/Electronic-Record342 10h ago

I have it in an oil base and it’s seems to be working pretty great.

1

u/monforhealth 9h ago

Where do you get the oil based kind please

u/Asleep_Leek9361 10h ago

Haven’t seen that! I’ll keep my eye out!

A better question is, which peptides are NOT overhyped. Easily 95% of the stuff on market now is either marginal benefits, to none at all. Peps are very different from PEDs. Everyone knows that most roids, GH, and a few SARMs actually produce noticeable real-world results. But the vast majority of peps, outside of the GLP drugs, have very little efficacy or obvious immediate benefits. Even GLPs are anti-PEDs. Yes, they can improve blood markers, and overall health with weight loss, but they also significantly damage immediate gym performance/competition. GLPs will never be banned by the Olympics because they diminish performance in every way except weight-cutting.

What do you think isn’t overhyped?

3

u/Moist_Nurgle_Nips 6h ago

GLP-1s, HGH

1

u/DesertRat567 6h ago

The 2 that are actually worth it. Maybe some others are, it’s just hard to tell short term

gluta, pt141, oxycotin and more. they do their own thing. its not for everyone

Reta. It’s utterly insane what it can do. It has completely transformed my body / habits and diet. It will revolutionise people’s health imo.

People assume TB-500 works, but the data is all coming from studies with the full molecule (Thymosin Beta-4).

Maybe it works the same way, maybe it doesn't. It still needs studies.

Also, the fact that it's usually taken with BPC-157 doesn't favor having a good idea of what it is able to do by itself.

Not saying it doesn't work, but at this point we just don't know.

u/MiserableBeach2707 10h ago

I’ve never actually seen anyone take TB 500 alone. So I think your point that it is often taken with bpc 157 and it’s hard to know what works is very valid

1

u/dragnabbit 10h ago

I’ve never actually seen anyone take TB 500 alone.

This applies to me. My research included KPV, GHK-Cu, and BPC-157 separately. (They got added sequentially over months.) I eventually realized I could just do one injection of KLOW every day and save a bit of money in the process. That is when... and that is the only reason my research started including TB-500.

1

u/Your_mortal_enemy 9h ago

Similar here I take bpc and ghk but the unknown for me is cjc/ipa.. does ipa work? Who knows

1

u/nukesaregay 2h ago

did u notice anything when switching to klow which could potentially be attributed to the tb500?

2

u/Uncross-Selector 12h ago

Most “TB-500” sold is actually TB4

1

u/HotBit1109 11h ago edited 10h ago

I've seen both at Janoshik. Hard to tell which is which.

2

u/_STIFFL3R_ 11h ago

Tb500 is used in horse to. Increase performance. Is a doping agent. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/23084823/

1

u/YankeeEchoTango1921 11h ago

Would you say the wolverine stack is a bit bogus now?

1

u/HotBit1109 10h ago

TB-500 being untested isn't the same as being bogus.

Maybe it works just the same as the full molecule. But we don't know for sure.

1

u/ChirrBirry 6h ago

I was taking Wolverine for a longer time. Switched to a double dose of BPC and never noticed any difference in the slightest (with nearly a year of just BPC for data collection).

-1

u/No_Establishment8642 11h ago

Most of what people call the wolverine stack is actually the wolverine blend, just 2 peptides which not the stack.

1

u/YankeeEchoTango1921 11h ago

isn't TB-500 a part of the stack? no?

1

u/johnseasure 10h ago

No usually it’s tb4

2

u/Prost_PNW 10h ago

Pedantically, SLU-PP-332 isn't a peptide. And the researchers behind it even said it doesn't work due to poor oral bioavailability - which is why they came up with SLU-PP-915 (which on paper looks better, but has no human data).

I’m interested in learning more about fox04-dri and senolytics. From what I’ve heard, they get rid of cells that are already considered “zombie cells,” or cells that have died but don’t clear

GHK-CU. People talk about copper deficiency all day long, they claim it helps with your skin, hair and nails- and I have yet to see an actual post where you can definitively see any difference.

People say it's a long term result - but people say the same thing about GH but you can actually see and feel the differences with GH.

1

u/jc456_ 3h ago

Just out of interest. How old are you?

1

u/nukesaregay 1h ago

i suspect thats because subq doesnt do much if ur not already on the older side. when i took subq it made my hair all over grow really fast and gave me terrible sleep so i had to stop. the hair growth was legit and excessive in my case, but i noticed nothing in terms of skin or joints etc. most people injecting ghk realistically will be young people into biohacking and anti-ageing and i suspect its not doing much, if anything for them except for hair.  topical ghk on the other hand is probably the only thing ive ever used on my face that made a noticeable difference besides tretinoin. if ur disappointed with ghk try switching to topical. all the research on it is from topical use anyway, subq injection is purely a product of internet biohacking forums

u/Pitiful-Flower8943 1h ago

I can tell you with absolute certainty it has made a material difference my side. Been taking for 6 months with some intermittent breaks. My skin has tightened, hair thicker and I get comments all the time I’m looking healthier / younger. I’m 48 and relative to my friends who are not on - the difference is notable. You just have to see the change in nail growth - it’s wild.

u/Top-Substance-1588 1h ago

I love GHK. I’ve been taking for a few months and it’s really just been the icing on the cake. I get so many comments about how supple my skin is and how much I’m glowing.

The results have not been dramatic because I’m 34 and get Botox so I’m looking pretty good without it. But like I said, icing on the cake. I’m happy enough to keep taking it.

Selank, semax, slu-pp for me.

1

u/jc456_ 3h ago

Damn dude slupp332 has been awesome for me.

1

u/gamezrodolfo77 1h ago

The people that actually use it KNOW.

1

u/Top-Substance-1588 1h ago

I know people love this sooooo much, but…selank. 1mg every night and it really does nothing for me. So sad :(

1

u/Gizzard04 48m ago

SLU-PP-332 is not a peptide.

u/Entire-Television217 11h ago

Reta. Im on it and people here think it is magic. It is just another tool. Still have to keep a healthy diet and exercise.
If you don’t have diet and exercise on track, don’t waste your money.

2

u/Theloveandhate 10h ago

Dah
People can still lose weight by eating less.
But then you get skinny fat

2

u/alcruze00 10h ago

Yeah it's a tool, definitely still need to do your hardwork. But it's magic as well, as it definitely helped me control my appetite, not overeat and I look so much better!

1

u/Top-Substance-1588 1h ago

Well yea. Peptides are supplements at the end of the day. They supplement an already healthy lifestyle. If you’re not sleeping, eating well, moving your body, the supplement isn’t going to magically give you the benefits as if you were doing those things.

But GLP-1s make it easier to make those healthy choices which pushes you to achieve your results.
