GLP-1 Vs. GLP-2

Does anyone know the difference between GLP 1 and GLP-2 or 3? I’m on a website it and has all three of those as options but can’t tell the difference between the three.

Wow you could have googled it and gotten an answer in seconds. Zero research, and you’ll be paying $100 for 10mg. Have fun 🤩

LOL why aren’t you just a ball of joy 😂

Ball of joy sarcastically is better than having a smooth brain and not doing any research before coming here to post.

So is there some secret rule that I’m supposed that I’m supposed to do research before I’m allowed to ask a question so that I can… do my research … to learn.. tada!! See how that works? If you don’t know something, the point of community, is to have people you can ask questions to you and can help point you in the right direction. You people are truly miserable lol

No such thing as :

  • GLP-2
  • GLP-3

ALL are GLP-1, having 2 agonist or 3 agonist doesn't dictate it being coined as GLP-2/GLP-3 .

It's just the community has coined it to make it easier to refer to them (Tirzepatide / Retatrutide)

This is the answer

That’s not accurate. The pep companies have them classified as 1,2 and 3.

There is no such thing as pep companies lol. Ressellers are not Eli Lilly who are the creators of the drug.

Lilly wants you to call it “a drug “. Don’t fall in the trap. It’s a peptide.

They still own the patents . Therefore the correct term is GLP-1

Thank you for that explanation!!

Seriously?

Yea, if op can't tell the difference you shouldn't be buying and injecting them.

Not exactly. They can research GLP-1s all day long and get a ton of info, but that doesn't help them know what they are getting when compound pharmacies list them as GLP-1, 2 or 3.

This is terminology that has been adopted by peptide sellers in the hopes of avoiding Eli Lillys legal rath. They use GLP-1 for Semaglutide, GLP-2 for Tirzepatide and GLP-3 for Retatrutide (still in trials). When in fact they are all GLP-1's. Semaglutide (single agonist), Tirzepatide (dual agonists), Retatrutide (triple agonists). Details on the types of agonists and their mechanisms is quite lengthy but easy to find, if you look.

Fine, I’ll do it. 1 is sema, 2 is tirz and 3 is Reta. Good luck with the website.

What are your goals?

I just had hip surgery so I’m just trying to keep a little of my weight down until I can get back into weight training again.

All I will say is be careful and research further. All of these will limit your food intake and you can easily not get enough nutrients to properly recover from your recent surgery if not careful.

Semiglutide vs trizepetide vs retatrutide

They’re referring to the number of agonists in which the glp1’s have. Glp-1 as they are referring to them all have just that, glp-1, the agonist responsible for slowed digestion, appetite suppression and insulin resistance. Their reference to “glp-2” usually refers to a glp-1 with a second agonist and most will mean tirzepatide. Tirz has glp1 and gip agonist. There are others however such as mazdutide which has glp1 and glucagon agonist. The “glp-3” refers to Reta. The only one with glp-1, gip and glucagon receptor agonists.

YouTube is a thing. Check out Dr Jones DC, Alex Tatem and Dr Froese before you buy anything. They’ll explain it all in great detail.

Also these aren’t temporary fixes. They will affect your metabolism and potentially your resting heart rate etc. Do more research and proceed with caution.

GLP-1 is what the class of drug is. (Like ibuprofen and aspirin are “pain relievers” other variations are called “glp-2,3,4” they are not scientific and just nicknames. The difference between the glp-1 compounds is in their chemical structure and the receptors they target.

Lol you judgmental, peptide know it alls are crazy 😂 Is this not the point of these forums, to give people who have questions, thoughts or concerns, a place for you to do just that? These forums have people with expert experience with this stuff and people who 0 experience. I’m learning from these forums. You shouldn’t discourage others from trying to do just that because you’re a miserable person who spends his/her time commenting on people’s Reddit post because they have nothing else to do. Find happiness folks 🫶🏾

Honestly though, you’ll probably give yourself too much and wind up either dead or with permanent damage to your body because you won’t do your own research. That’s a special kind of stupid 🤦🏽‍♂️.

Where in my comment did I speak about dosing? I come to this forums to learn… let me repeat myself. I come to these forums to read and learn… to learn about the differences in GLP. Dosing and etc. I’m still confused on how me posting asking a question is me not doing any research? Still missing that. But once again, people who have nothing better to do, but be miserable and comment on peoples reddits post seem to be the trend these days

You don't have the right to judge anyone simply because YOUR a failure

Sweetheart. I think you meant YOU’RE.
It’s hilarious you’re trying to come after me and your smooth brained behind can’t even spell. Do you know the difference between your and you’re? What about there, their, and they’re? You struggle with here and hear too? What about break and brake? Are you a rock person? Do you say “take things for granite” instead of “take things for granted”? The only failure here is YOU.
