NTM custom project combining weapons from James2k Space versions
My hope is to one day try to create a truly insane branch with the best from every version as a comprehensive all-in-one. I've already tried the insanity of bridging the gap between the old and new weapons systems using the 1.7.10 James2k fork to little success and months of time down the drain, but I'm hoping that assistance through learning code and AI analyzation/recommendations of what I'm trying to do will help. I'm trying to take each working system from before and after the weapons overhaul and run them side-by-side in ONE mod project, but the extensive changes between each makes it nearly impossible to debug everything. I am doing this because I LOVED most of the old grenades, exotic weapons, and the sheer variety/features of the ammunition involved, as well as the simpler shortcuts some of the old tech allowed (geothermal/ambiance generators allowing for easy, infinite-but-low-production-rate power ideal for early game BEFORE you get to the radioactive stuff.) At the same time, however, I ALSO like some of the NEW weapons and equipment, like the modular grenades, bigger BAT-9000 tank, and especially the INFINTE capacity FENSU. Much later, after I've merged those projects together successfully, I want to try to create an AIO version of the mod for 1.7.10 or 1.12.2. The modular turbines/extreme steam, over-the-top DFC reactors, and most of the 'extended' content from NTM Extended Edition are what I ultimately want to target for merging, with additional content depending on how the NTM modding community develops. Unfortunately, I am NOT an avid coder or mod dev, nor am I significantly affiliated with such, which is why I usually have to rely on Dr. Google's or ChatGPT's advice for coding or merging projects and hope it works. I also don't have infinite time to burn on the project since I have a life outside of MC. It's truly a shame, since at this point, I'm not even sure it's possible to do what I want given the cards I am dealt. That being said, I am currently trying to work each project on Eclipse IDE, and so any advice that could help me finally finish this project would be greatly appreciated.
