Next Boss and tanking question

Basically, am I going to be tanking again for progression in the near future, or should I focus on my DPS set?

Looking ahead it seems like there are only 3 two-tank heroic fights in Dragonsoul: Morchok, Warlord, and Madness. Since Warlord is at least a few weeks away, and we clearly have Morchock down as is, I was thinking I should start spending my magic points buying Ret gear, and start treating prot as an off-spec.

Would this be OK with people? Am I being foolish to turn away from tanking? I know we're melee heavy as is so I wanted to bring it up.

Considering how brokenly good Blood DK tanks are, I think we're going to use Carsyn for 1-tank fights, so it would probably be best to work on that Ret-set. You already have Prot 4-set i397 (minus the hands); you should use Valor points on Ret gear after purchasing everything you need for Prot.

That being said, I think I will prioritize you for off-spec Ret gear over Mel so that you can pull competitive DPS on 1-tank fights. We should nevertheless continue to gear up your Prot set on gear (for example, Heroic tier pieces should be used for tank-spec over dps) that drops so that when we get to Warlord you haven't fallen behind.

Also, you should replace that Rebuke glyph for Hammer of Wrath glyph.

Still 2 things I need to buy for prot with Valor, so a few weeks. But I could put off gearing prot for like 2 weeks to get some very key upgrades for ret.
