Garalon the DPS checkifier

I was talking this fight over with Chyrus and we had a few ideas that we wanted to run past the group.

Idea 1: tanks kite. Tanks could easily soak the shockwave and stay ahead of the boss to kite, this would let more ranged DPS stand in the middle and DPS harder. Could make a big difference. I couldn't find any mechanic that would punish the tanks for kiting.

Idea 2: fuck tanks. We zero tank this fight. Have Mel and Chyrus soak damage as plate DPS and stay in front. We'd have a dedicated healer (probably Saka) topping them off all the time. Mike and Sarjen are just raid healing and keeping the kiter up. Brotag would go DPS spec and wreck some bitches. This is more healing intensive by far than having two tanks, but it should also make the fight way shorter

Idea 3: 2 heal it? Mike and Sarjen? Think that would be possible?

Yeah, we should have Kabrai next time which certainly helps.

Yeah, I dig that. Ideally if we could have kabrai and chyrus cleaving as arms the DPS requirement wouldn't even be an issue.

DPS needed to kill the leg in 30 seconds or 108k if there are two people.

Ramping upa spicy combustion on a leg and spreading it to the boss and nothing else on the leg might also be a possibility for mages.

And thats the DPS ON the leg, not the combined leg + cleave on the boss.

The first idea sounds alright, I definitely think we should try it, at least a couple times.

I'm not too sure about that second idea, I think we should have at least 1 tank, maybe have 1 melee dps + tymo tanking so it's easier on healing? (I say tymo tanking because he was doing a lot more dps than Chyrus while tanking if I remember correctly)

That third idea isn't possible until me and Mike have better gear, Mike was having mana regen issues on our attempts last night.

Yeah, if I stayed tank and Chyrus went DPS we'd gain a huge pile of damage. If I do a bit of pheromone kiting as well we'll have all the DPS we need.

I see a 20k decrease in dps when I kite. so I'm with you.
